Dunham has agreed to make a music video, pro bono, to warn children of the dangers of inserting foreign objects into their nether regions.

It stinks!

@Rururr_Jururr:disqus - holy crap, a fellow Tampan? Did you go to Melvins last night?

I revisited Book of Days not too long ago, and I still just couldn't find anything to grab onto in it - great *sound*, but no sticky songs, to me.

Really, they didn't make an outright bad one until Midnight to Midnight, which just didn't have any strong songs to offset the 80's glossy style; the only other one I don't rate is Book of Days, which conversely tried to return to their older, denser wall-of-sound style but again lacks a single hook IMO. I think it's

"Run and Run" has one of my favorite Butlerisms:

Pretty sure the Furs (whose name recalls "Venus in…") were familiar with the Velvets, and thus Warhol. Richard Butler's also a painter/former art student. So either Factory makes sense to me.

Good god I love the Furs, and Butler's one of my all-time favorite rock vocalists.

I'm in love with Fraank Sinaaatra
Fly me to the moooon

I heard the 'justification' was that the original's guitars were supposedly out of tune.

Eh, it was the last time Billy's senses of humor and humility were sighted. He also completely blows the vocal climax of "Mayonaise" (just can't hit/hold the high note) at the performance, and actually laughs about it.

Vig was also smart enough to mix Corgan's vox low.

I think "The Boy" is a nice little indie-dream-pop song. Nothing earth-shattering, but just fine mixtape material.

Yeah, it's really not bad.

Hey, "Being Boring" is actually a good song!

Did you check your jellybeans? Never go trick or treating at the Rabin's.

Internet, You're Not Even Trying Anymore

That was doggone terrible.

This is kind of off-topic, but WTF is up with the comments on that Brock interview you linked? I've been commenting here a while, reading here for even longer, and I don't recall them ever being that awful.
