I personally wasn't upset, because I didn't realize this whole thing had happened at first. I heard U2 had a free album on iTunes, went to iTunes, downloaded it (and still haven't listened to it).

You do know that you can have the app create smart playlists, grouping on most any track characteristics you choose, and then sync only those playlists to your chosen device (and also, choose to shuffle only within that playlist)?

This is probably the primary way I use iTunes.
