I liked this episode but it was just kind of… boring, I guess. I'm bored of the Kalinda plot-line, I can't follow it and I don't care enough. It's nice to have the show back but I hope it picks up..

Contemporary pop culture references don't 'date' AD, but they do locate it within time. Because universal issues of family and privilege are threaded throughout, I don't think this fact is detrimental to the show -rather it adds yet another layer of comedy which floats along the top of broader themes. AD is so, so good at smaller, more subtle physical comedy. I didn't know that was unscripted… though yeah actually, thinking about it now, it's too perfect to have been written.

I'll always remember the time in a later season episode of House where House also literally jumps the shark. Sadly, the show really had jumped the shark by then so the whole scene was just excruciatingly embarrassing to watch really.

Yep, pretty much. God, I want Jesse to make it out alive, I really do. Not so fussed about Walt Jr.

I'd agree with you to a certain extent because yes, it's a well known fact that women characters (and women writers) suffer from institutionalized misogyny within Hollywood, but I think the problem - in the case of BB and Mad Men anyway - lies just as much with the typical viewer who is unable to or unwilling to

Walt is really beginning to disgust me, I mean he's an absolute psychopath. Fuck.

Mose re-entering chez ami just as walcotts body drops from the noose is beautifully dark sinister comedy

I'm watching Deadwood through for the first time. I knew from vague spoilers that something big was going to happen in Amalgamation but I was absolutely in awe of how they built up the episode to the point of William's death, it was truly masterful. I started to realise about half way through that the entire episode

Uncle Jack vomiting everywhere is absolute comedy gold. Love that whole ep.
