the difference between dead baby jokes and rape jokes is that murder is wrong - that is a societal consensus. the same does not apply to rape, and as long as we live in a victim blaming society, rape jokes aren't gonna be funny or acceptable - to me, anyway.

I love this dude

The problem I had with the battle is that there's been so much going on this season that we haven't had time to get to know Stannis etc. I didn't care as much as I wanted to (though I did find the last shot of Stannis really sad- the first time I've felt any real connection with his character tbh). If it had been

Ahh right, thanks. Still, I don't think it was as clear as  @avclub-d980b15d49101608dc407770f35b1d75:disqus  was claiming

I think B is a little harsh and I disagree with much of the review but I still don't think this episode was the A that a lot of people are claiming it was. It had a few really great moments. I was genuinely upset when Tyrion got wounded, loved the Sansa/Hound scenes and overall I enjoyed it but honestly as far as GoT

I thought they left it deliberately open as to whether Sansa went with the hound or not…

yep pretty much. season 5 finale is really good but the rest of the season was very hit and miss. pretty dire from season 6 onwards

Interesting that season 2 was the only season that they planned out from the beginning, as I personally think that it has been the best of them all in terms of consistency and sheer quality.

Late watching this episode but thought I'd chip in- loved it. Patti is one of my favourite recurring characters so I was delighted to see her. Also love having Cary back in the fold. The elevator scene and the scene that followed were absolutely priceless, I've had to re-watch it a few times because it cracked me up

Ignore this, found a thread above explaining it

Ahhhh I'm probably too late for this episode but can someone help me out? Jorah was speaking to the lady with the mosaic face and she says something along the lines of 'Will you betray her [Daenerys] again?' And he responds 'Never.' I've clearly missed something fairly integral; what were they talking about?

…obviously yes, that is what matters to me. Just stating my opinion.

It was completely unnecessary and played the concept of rape for a cheap throwaway laugh, so yeah, I found it offensive.
