They did a TV miniseries of The Tommyknockers in '93, starring Jimmy Smits and Marg Helgenberger. It was pretty bad and they took a lot of liberties with the story, but the ending was much better than the book.

My all time favorite is "Last Dinosaur." You never get to hear much of it because it only plays over the next-episode montage, but if you check it out on the soundtrack album, you will hear the greatest song ever recorded by the pillows.
