Painfully unfunny.  You've got to be repulsively juvenile to find this stuff funny.  All the many parts where the "joke" stems from Warwick being really short: trying to reach up to get things that are too high, or falling from chairs.  Gervais tries to make it okay to laugh at him by making him be a dick for the

Gervais definitely has a pattern when it comes to series finales.  Haven't seen Derrick but The Office and Extras feature these sentimental closures.  The Office ending was clearly the best.  Extras seemed like it was trying too hard to reach that emotional end.  For LTS — he completely abandoned the "Warwick Davis"

I watched it and liked it more than I expected to, given some of the reviews I'd glanced at (like this).

Hello!  Insurance is my game, Larry is my name! … raping was another game of mine — Have you considered— Hello…?

BATMAN!

I agree, there was something compelling about Julia Stiles.  And I like that she's a person who knew about Dexter's secret who was allowed to live.  I was disappointed by Maria Doyle Kennedy's babysitter character, though.  They really seemed to be setting her up for something bigger… and then she just sort of leaves.

Whenever there's a really long stretch where he doesn't need to offer directions, he'd spontaneously start musing on his dark passenger.  Or maybe Harry's voice would chime in: "Where do you think you're going, Dexter?"

I used to really love this show.  For me, after the heights of Season 4's Trinity Killer saga, it just struggled to find its way.  The biggest problem, IMHO, is that they started *repeating* a lot of ideas.  Initially, Dexter was all alone with his "dark passenger", left to have imaginary conversations with his ghost

It seemed like they were setting Quinn up for death for a while there.  Esp. when he and Dexter were butting heads.  Now he's just blind and oblivious, so he seems safe.

Don's just dropping his kids off at the whore house where he grew up.

And he's made Debra the star of Medellin!  Maybe she could do Dexter's Bananas for the rest of the season.

I like when he just explains things he's figured out while investigating.  "So THIS means THAT and it will take me half an hour to get there."  It's perfect because I don't even have to look at the screen!  I imagine most of the voiceovers Michael C. Hall has to record are like recording GPS driving directions.

Projections was definitely the best of the season.  I feel like the show was scrambling to find a voice the entire season, experimenting with different things in each episode, but Projections was the one that felt the most fresh and honest.  I don't think he has a lot of range as an actor (just yet).  He seems to

Ah yes, Julie Warner in the water in DOC HOLLYWOOD.  Vivid childhood memory.  Didn't recognize her at first till the camera got closer and it all came flying back.  In slow motion.

I never got to see the original Broadway production growing up but I loved the movie version.  So, a few months ago, on a whim, I stopped by TKTS and got myself a ticket to see this revival.

It's weird because a lot of people look down on the movie version.  Even the creators of the original musical express their dislike of the movie in this documentary.  But the movie is the reason all of these girls are familiar with the musical at all.  The movie is the reason the musical continues to have a following.

Cars 3: Maximum Overdrive
A Bug's Life vs Antz
Baba Ghanoush (about a lamb — Louis CK — who longs to be a chef in Egypt)

Actors speculating on movies they'd like to do are so cute.

I assume in the next season's opener, Don will be talking about how Megan moved to California and got murdered by a cult.

Joan's Jewish mother impression was a surprising delight.  Especially because she doesn't even want to get up to do it at first.
