Yes, I wonder what the rules for resurrections are, in this world.  It's funny, I didn't know anything about what the books contained.  Seeing those dragons born at the close of the first season was the first time it struck me that we're playing by fantasy rules.  Since then, there've been more and more fantastical

That one shot of Draper alone in the elevator is pretty great.  You don't often see that kind of emotion from him.  Anger turns into despair.

Didn't The Hound kill Lord Dondarrion in a fight earlier in the season? And then Dondarrion got resurrected through some prayer to the Lord of Light?  It seems that in a world where that kind of stuff can happen, I don't know what's preventing anyone from coming back.

I like how the season ended with Dany crowd-surfing at a Pearl Jam concert.

Haven't seen her in HEAD ON but I think she's pretty great in GoT.  The show just has so many characters and storylines, they can't afford to spend a great deal of time with everyone all of the time.  I succumb to sentimentality easily but I was moved by her scene in this season finale.

The Pythons would have had a field day.  It's a shame that no one does really *quality* parodies anymore.  All we get is cheap "Scary Movie" garbage.

Makes the old Farrah Fawcett poster look like a pile of puke.

AV comment sections are never dead and buried.  Good post.

The Roger/Danny material seemed pointless.  Mad Men can do better than casting someone as a fucking sight gag.  An excuse for Roger to make a bunch of idiotic short jokes?  And his comeuppance is him getting punched in the balls?  Did Mike Meyers write this episode?

I might have seen the first one at some point but I basically skipped right to Fast5.  There's definitely stuff that I didn't get, but that movie works nicely on its own.  Furious6, I think, is a little more dependent on history.  Definitely Michelle Rodriguez's character — took me a minute to figure out if she was

Like a JACOB'S LADDER sort of deal.

I was revisiting a bunch of episodes on Netflix recently and stumbled on this one.  It seemed bizarre because he was a young man when he wrote and shot those sketches and he's in his 50s now.  I saw them live — maybe about a decade ago when he was in his 40s.

I remember that one so vividly.

Les terriers sont mes types favourites!

I saw BRAIN CANDY opening weekend in a packed movie theater in NYC.  It was mostly KITH fans, obviously, but I remember this one woman sitting near us — who'd either been dragged there by a fan bf or just wandered in without being familiar with KITH.  She seemed completely flummoxed by the movie.

Sarcastic Guy!

Dave Foley plays such a great straight man in that first sketch.  Textbook example of straight man work.

MAMA is really good.  I recommend MAMA.  Thank you.

Young Dave Foley in drag resembled Isabella Rossellini: IT'S A FACT!
