Didn't mean to generalize. Should have specified "fans of the show," and perhaps further specified "unironic fans of the show who have turned it into a lifestyle choice."

Can't speak for anyone else, but Oprah gets a "meh" from me. Gilmore Girls was never as popular as either, but it was about women and primarily for women and I quite liked it (until Sherman-Palladino left).

I think the bar for verisimilitude in your characters' dialogue should be set a little higher than "every now and then."

Salt was a terrible movie. If your main character's motivations are going to be kept ambiguous for 90% of the film, you better execute it well, and Salt did not. Also the ending was insultingly unbelievable.

Nitpick
If the dictator was blood type AB negative, isn't he a universal recipient? So anyone in that room could have given him blood. Like anyone who hadn't just passed out due to blood loss from a gunshot wound.
