Apparently I scarred some of my roommate's by playing Solondz's "Happiness" in the living room and actively laughing at it. Which is fair, I guess.
I lived there for a long time and yeah, it's pretty damn strange. Adams County is fairly red, and many of the families there and in surrounding areas who aren't immigrants have been there forever.
Beads?
And that's why I assumed it was a robot even after rereading the summary a few times.
I actually thought that was some pretty delightful dark humor. Like Homer falling asleep at Grimes funeral. This should be, you know, permanently scarring, but the kid's back to being himself and owning up to bashing in a man's skull with a refrigerator door.
Oh, yeah, sorry. I meant the maybe as self-doubt, not to be included in the title.
Yeah corporate really relaxed standards after the last inspection I was there for (2010?), and it closed a few years later. All the other area stores were already considered in disrepair, and several others have closed.
I worked in a kmart for 3 years, selling electronics and running customer service. Alison by Elvis Costello came on every 45 minutes one summer, followed by that Human League song (Don't You Want Me, maybe?).
Same here.
This is the only thing my family has ever been in the news for.
Just watched this yesterday and really dug it. Simple premise, never goes beyond the limits of the production in a good way. Some of the plot points are telegraphed early, and as someone with psychiatric issues I saw this a lot more as whether it's alright to accept those as human frailty or more clinically assess…
I listen to a lot of crap, but this is awful.
There is a solid chance they won't show up until several hours after the start time if you do see them.
Kool AD's hardcore band is pretty fun, at least in person and in a small show setting. And his novel should be coming out soon.
It does taste like Grandma!
Hated this as a kid, love it as an adult who has watched too much television. Sure, it was probably a mistake, but it's a mistake with a ton of great lines and some of the best "Skinner" we ever get. I'll take it happily as an artifact of television stupidity working just fine as a one shot. Like those "What If"…
They had the boxes at my parents' house as of last year. Kept getting calls they weren't logging the viewership right though, and just irritated the hell out of my dad.
"TV Reality is kinda weird but sometimes it's too weird so we need to ground it in constants, like interpersonal relationships, so it stays relevant."
We're just posting quotes compiled elsewhere now?
