Anyone remember Long Beach Dub Allstars? It was the band these guys started immediately after Sublime and it was pretty much the exact same concept as this: lots of Sublime songs live and songs that sounded just like Sublime on they records. They had some guy who looked/sounded a lot like Brad to be the singer.

Robbin' the Hood is great too

Cancer AIDS is nothing to be proud of

what Dawes it have to do with does?

To be fair though, he is wearing the same jacket as the night of the bloody murder/body disposal, plus I'm pretty sure that was Gus' voice on the phone call to Walt

While I'm not so sure it's obvious. I don't completely discount this theory. They could start having flashbacks showing Gus' rise to power (and eventual demise), which would explain why Giancarlo Esposito would be elevated to series regular.

I was thinking the dialogue was pretty Milchian (minus the F bombs), but I'm sure that's at least partly because it was delivered by Ellsworth.

I heard the genesis for this idea was Hyden's proposed idea for a 3 day fest featuring 12 consecutive 40min sets by Dawes on each day.

I can't believe I made it this far down the comment thread without a mention of Dawes. you guys disappoint me.

….
The best REM album of the 2000's was the last Decemberist record

Out of their early stuff I actually like Reckoning the best, followed by Pageant and then Murmur.

I know what you're talking about! and I agree that it would be great to see JBhaV renewed, but failing that I'm happy they're renewing South Park. Even as a shadow of its former self it's worth watching.

their version of After the Gold Rush made me shutter in revulsion.

I remember, as a 14 year old, really liking about 85% of that Led Zeppelin tribute album they released in the mid/late 90s. Not sure if it holds up though.

it's called milking the legacy of an artist too greedy or dead to protest.

Beady Eye music,
mate?

I saw Carlin on what turned out to be his last tour and I have to say it was pretty disappointing.

Dane Clark guy (that asshole)

I saw Joan Rivers's perform a couple months back. I wasn't really expecting much but I have to say that she is one of the best comics I've seen and I've seen many. Not quite as good as C.K. (no one is) but she was up there.

I actually thought that was a pretty spot-on Mike Rapatard impression.
