eh, I don't hate the song as much as I hate the video. Sure the lyrics suck but other than that I actually kinda like the song itself.

@mcc - I agree

I wonder if Shiny Happy People would be as bad if not for the video

are you saying First Impressions of Earth is a great album? If so that's awesome because I only knew one person other than myself who thinks so.

Cool, I'll give it another chance. I'm a big R.E.M. fan (a Monster apologist even), but for some reason I only listened to "Up" maybe once before I "gave Up" on it.

the best thing about Rainy Day Women is that it's the first song so it's easy to skip.

Is Up really a great album though?

I'll grant that the intro sucks, but then it gets so good!!!!

Magician is a cool song. "You Are Invited" would go on this list for me. Even if the lyrics were awesome and not annoying (which is far from the case), the vocal melody throughout really just grates on me.

Automatic for the People is perfect. I like World Leader, but yeah Wrong Child is not good.

The track to 'Meat is Murder' is almost as bad as the lyric.

I'm sorry but that record's perfect

Beatles
The only Beatles song I would ever scrub from an album would be 'Flying' from Mystery tour.

Christmas songs?
I thought the rule was "no traditional Christmas songs unless you're Andrew W.K."

Sadly, 'Rape Gaze' is an actual musical subgenre.

I think it veered a little too much toward the conventional to get an A. No Country was significantly better.

Also, back when I was 16 I might have hated Kings of Leon just because they're popular, but that's not the case now (for proof of that, I'll admit that I love Arcade Fire).

Kiss Shreds is amazing and imma let you finish (ugh), but I think the Rolling Stones one was the best. Looks like they took it down though.

some writer at Spin recently called them something like "the Nickelback for people who hate Nickelback", but I'm pretty sure there would be less overlap between people who hate Nickelback and people who love Kings of Leon than there is overlap between poeple who hate them both or people who love them both.

also, I feel like The Great White Hype is an underrated movie.
