The (I think) Episode 3 review was especially persuasive for me, with it's discussion of static dialogue framing. It was like a switch flipped on in my head, and after that the prequels seemed not just mediocre, but like actively bad movies. I don't think George Lucas could have been any more lazy if he had tried.

That was embarrassing. Not unexpected, exactly (it was the All Blacks, after all), but I was really hoping for a better showing.

BITCHES LEAVE.

I never knew that this is what I've always wanted. I miss Kids in the Hall.

I'm fresh out of law school, and I need to alternate between temp document review projects and volunteering. Unpaid work is the next big labor issue in society.

The big one.

I'm perfectly healthy, but my 4 month old puppy has kennel cough. And she's really restless b/c she can't go outside (where the air is too dry and cold) to get her exercise.

Seriously, who would want to pass up tax-free gifts unless they didn't want the commitment in the first place?

WHY ARE WE YELLING?!

"This is one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind."

Ah yes, good old hand-egg. Ripping good fun, but the brain trauma issue is a tragedy.

Vernacular english has pretty flexible rules about when to use "who" vs. "whom". More formal rules are archaic and, frankly, arcane.

I thought Scarface was the Scarface for white people.

"that was easily the weakest part of the first one"

I think "The Devil Went Down to Georgia" would make for a decent short film.

That's one of the best moments in all of cinema, and it's my favorite part of that movie.

MARSHALL VERSUS THE MACHINEā€¦.

Wow, a literalization of pro hoc ergo propter hoc. I didn't mean to say it was brilliant because of the misogyny. It was brilliant in spite of it.

This episode was hacky and misogynistic. And it was fucking brilliant.

Wanting to get paid is not unethical. However, the show clearly stated the files in question were "client files", not work product. Client files do not belong to L/G, they belong to the client, and the client has the right to them regardless of when or how she pays L/G for their services.
