Gotta love Rachael MacFarlane.

Now let's all get drunk and play ping pong!

I'm sorry. I know how that feels.

Not to undercut anything that you're saying right now (because I totally agree with you), but I'd say the only other animated series I watch that measures as well with maintaining good continuity would be Futurama. And for me, that's saying a lot.
(Not trying to shoehorn in on your comment, though.)

I think now that Kevin has pointed out how great Brian-as-a-dog jokes really are, I tend to see them as lot whole lot funnier, now. I definitely wouldn't have appreciated that 'farm upstate' bit had I not thought that it *was* going to be mentioned the next day, as a highlight, or otherwise.

I will never NOT like "Cooperative Calligraphy". Just getting that out of the way right now.

Don't overthink a cutaway. Take it from me.

Yeah, it was a thing that happened. Where are you going with this?

Isn't there enough pony porn on the internet already?

She definitely got the voice for it.

There's a statement I haven't heard people say in a while.

The episode kind of started like, "Marge Be Not Proud" (attention is drifted from Lovejoy, he gets depressed), and pretty much ended as, "Pray Anything" (Lovejoy saves the day from some inexplicable occurrence), but I have to admit, a LOT of the jokes landed that I didn't think would at all. And that's coming from a

Pick a bar? What the hell is pick a bar?

I noticed on Wikipedia that the name of the writer of this episode is Kristin Long, and I also saw she hasn't had any writing credits on the series up until this point. So did the staff hire a new writer? Does anybody know?

This is how it starts. First with the jokes, then comes the heavy stuff.

Yes, yes! Let's all talk to Zoidberg!
