I'm not saying that Robbie wasn't over the top. Her character was SUPPOSED to be by design as a counterpoint to Jordan's antics. Just saying that she was a better and more convincing 'shrill housewife'. Not to mention ,her brooklyn accent was pretty good for someone who is a friggin' australian.

MEH. 'Hustle' is perfunctory compared to the blistering tour de force that is 'Wolf'.

Strange days is still the most provocative thing cameron has ever written.

Now THAT should have been the highest grossing movie of all time.

I don't know the guy's name but I swear there was a Sam Worhington clone in 'A good day to die hard'.

Televison static or the Don de Lillo book?

Great. Tell Cameron to cast a diaper as the lead in his movie, then. Still a better leading man than Worthington.

I sincerely will never imagine what it was about Avatar than Cameron was wanting to 'make for 10 years until technology caught up'. Cool visuals, for sure though but why such a standard movie was his 'passion project' ,I'll never know.

They're busy arguing the'complex' politics of 'The Dark Knight rises'. And I'm saying this as a person who loves TDKR.

I loved prometheus too. Hell, to me it was a better 'space film' than Gravity despite sometimes being too stupid.

LOL. DiCaprio's trajectory is a funny one. He chased the oscar early on with 'The Aviator' and 'Blood Diamond' but after a while he said 'fuck it' and started dropping F-Bombs in The Departed and N-Bombs in Django and inbetween he made weird mind-fuck movies like Inception and Shutter Island.

Di Caprio fully deserves it this time, methinks. For three hours, he keeps you absolutely riveted and glued to your seat even while playing an unrepentant scumbag. Love all the other actors but this is by far DiCaprio's best work performance-wise and he'd rather win now than some other time for some other mediocre

All three movies you mentioned are absolutely awesome. The sheer awesomeness of 'Flirting' will always ensure that I will never hate O.Russell despite his recent overrated status.

Silver Linings Playbook is a fun movie generally but If you've seen a lot of movies , it's nothing really special. It's predictable and safe and there are a lot of other movies like it . Without all the good (not great) performances and the skilled direction, it's just a Kate Hudson/Jennifer Aniston rom-com.

The entire main theme of 12 years is cribbed from Inception and it's especially fucking distracting when it plays so much throughout the movie.

You can say the same thing about Bradley Cooper.

I would have LOVED to see Will Forte nominated!! He could finally get the clout to find financing Macgruber 2. The sequel to one of the funniest movies of the last 10 years.

He needs to have an ego. He's also a "rock star" ,didn't you hear??

I'll have to agree with you on that one. I can't decide which is worse, RT of the internet blogger 'fanboy' criticism. Either way both are absolutely horrible.

I'm not saying that those movies aren't good but the original Bad Boys is still Bay's most enjoyable and least gratuitous ,stupid and fetishistic movie.
