They have not rid themselves of that particular problem…

Team Jam!

For some reason I thought Scooter McNairy was gonna be The Flash in the Justice League movie; he'd be a great emasculated superhero insecure about the fact that he can only jog pretty fast. The only reason I wanted to see it.

…Holy crap, she does! (Haven't seen Some Kind of Wonderful, but I need to now XD)

Also the show helpfully/unsubtly points out (twice) that Cameron reminds them of the girl who smashed through the screen in the Apple 1984 commercial.

"Take all of our classic, better reviewed shows… and add ZOMBIES!"

Same; for some reason it's an unreasonably hard sell. Although I do kind of like having it to ourselves too; like we're an elite club ;) plus it feels fitting to discuss it on the Internet.

Comparing this show to Breaking Bad feels erroneous. I love Breaking Bad, but I was never rooting for any of the characters, except maybe Hank. TV's also very different nowadays; it started as a BB//Mad Men clone but it soon became a very different kind of show. By season three I was in love with and rooting for all

NiM might be my favorite episode of TV hands down; like they just put a camera on two old (incredibly sexy) friends reuniting.

I had the biggest crush on Mackenzie Davis, and it had absolutely nothing to do with the fact that she looked like my ex >.>

They do run into sexism every now and then, but much less than I was expecting.

:D An AV Club PSA reminder to watch. This. Show!

He seemed fond of small talk last episode though!

And vaguely scary.

Gah that scene was too much.

Night on film has a slightly blue hue to it if I recall, but digital? Blacker than black.

That's one thing I love about Lynch is he never tries to make the otherworldly occurrences in his works look natural. Things like stage lights and smoke machines, and indeed, strange editing choices, are used to great effect; instead of pulling us out of the story, they highlight the artifice of it all but still make

Acutely aware. I can't choose how I react to my anxiety in the moment, but I can choose to get myself help and better more supportive friends and put myself in a more positive environment along with Buddhism, so it's mitigated when it does happen. I'm lucky, though.

Yeah I got tired of Doctor Who too, but I'll come back to it every now and then for fun. The constant nihilism of Rick and Morty's a big turn off for me; I struggle with those thoughts everyday and don't need them in my entertainment. Doctor Who flirts with it every now and then but in general is much more uplifting

Yeah I don't see how they can redeem Rick's character. The format of the show has him stuck in a perpetual loop of self-obliteration as a source of comedy and drama. What happens when you change that? It may be what you want for the character, but it can be difficult to adapt the show around that without people
