Yeah? Well good luck on the robot reservations! We're not gonna honor those bogus treaties!

My robot body will have chainsaw hands with laser beam eyes, and the strength of FIVE gorillas.
Fat Bastard alien? How can you not love that? "oooo ai, I'm dead sexy. YOU ARE CRAP!!"

Doctor Who let the dogs out? ….. I'll show myself out.
Ah, thanks. I quit watching after about 8 seasons. I started noticing a lot of the "only explosions" and "30 minutes stretched into an hour via recaps" that's mentioned elsewhere in the section, and couldn't handle it anymore. Was still a great show that made you at least think though.
Is that why they were canned? I remember the cannonball story, and the story of the assistants being replaced, but I never linked the two. Would make sense if their insurance premiums or some such went up though.

Don't be so derivative.
Could be the case. I'm not a big enough fan of the comics to know for sure. But I like Tremors. Mostly because it reminds me of that godawful movie with the underground monsters.
I loved Larry Crowne. I think it's biggest problem is the previews made it appear to be something entirely different.
Maybe. I also don't trouble myself with all of the rumors/reveals during filming. I want to be surprised about what happens, have no expectations, and just enjoy the story they present. "Spoilers," after all.
And my bow!
I agree with this. If your story sets up rules about time travel, it needs to stick to them. (Of course, for DW, this can change from episode to episode, but that's fine for me. As long as each plot is resolved.)
Moffat already said she was an entirely new character and not someone from the past, unfortunately.
No, it's just kind of a AV Club running joke. Every time there's a mystery character, we assume it's the Rani
Didn't there wind up being like 3 Jacks in the stasis containers by the time it was all said and done? Man, I'm going to have to go back and watch that show again now…
My own theory on this is that the Doctor knew that O'Donnell was going to die. If that's the case, she would be on the loose, and the crew would have nowhere safe to hide from her. So he opens the Faraday cage, lets the ghosts out, and that gives Clara and the others a safe place to hide once O'Donnell's ghost…
Oh definitely not. But his character changed so drastically between seasons 1 & 2, it can be a bit jarring.
They also mentioned there being other portals. It can easily come back into play later on this season. I'd rather focus on the plots on this planet right now, and we can ratchet up to offworld hijinks later on.
