Well, he got a co-writer credit. The battle over credit was a big deal at the WGA as I recall, and Payne was very dismissive of Rash & Faxon's contributions.

I think that "Casino Royale" thing is my favorite sketch of the past decade. Take from that what you will.

Calculon is not a Shatner parody! He's the demon spawn of Orson Welles and Alec Baldwin, if anything.

You're discounting the pain of incipient heart attack.

I'll tell you where Tyce's choreo came from: Wade Robson.

Listening to it now, and it's pretty flawless except for the easily amused goat in the audience.

I liked the very offhand reference to August Lindt.

"Welcome to the Judge John Hodgman podcast, featuring guest judge Jesse Tho-"

Nope. I have no more patience for mashups that can't even be bothered to sync up the action to the music.

Ba-da-bah-bah-bah-BAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!

"Tobe, or not Tobe…"

This sprang immediately to mind as my favorite hoedown, and possibly bit, ever:

Almost through listening to the Tig Nerdist. I've heard her talk about her awful year so often I was fully expecting it to be a retread, despite the hyperbolic episode description and Chris's introduction. But they managed to find new angles and insights that I hadn't heard before. Really really good.

Dan Harmon, everyone.

Why do you think he's called @avclub-21a8615938a206d4311a58a53ad8890e:disqus ?

Rooney Mara, duh!

I grew up in Manhattan in the 70's/80's and was 9 when this movie came out. For me, no movie recaptures how grimy, weird and scary the city was back then (and how blasé everyone could be about the grimy scary weirdness) as well as this one.

I love that one too, and Jasmine's dress in the Broadway number actually reminded me of Cyd's skirt (possibly my favorite movie dance costume ever), in the way it had weight but still moved so beautifully.

RE-HUH-PEH-HENT!!!!
