Oh, the internet…. I was not outraged by anything. People were speaking of Spacey being a closet case and how rude that line in the article was. I was mainly responding to onaccounta's posts. Things just got out of order as they tend to do around here.

Better and funnier are two different things. Parks and Rec has never been belly gut bursting funny. New Girl has its moments but still feels derivative and a lot of its humor is forced.

It's certainly not tried arse 30 Rock. Raising Hope, while inconsistent, is probably along with Cougar Town, the most laugh out loud comedy on TV.

O'Hara had a couple of funny lines. Cranston got nothing. But in general I didn't buy them as Kenneth's parents. That probably mostly has to do with the half-heartedly written nature of that subplot.

nah. Raising Hope fits that bill until Community and Cougar Town return.

There was a laugh out loud moment every scene and it kept the episode from feeling entirely stale. But damn, this show should have ended a couple of seasons ago. Cranston and O'Hara were wasted. The Liz storyline was more peppy, but I'm bored of her relationship with pretty boy. Bring back Wesley Snipes.

No, it's not anyone's business. And yes, there are consequences. And that's why it's cowardice to go to an extreme trying to prove you are not something. The dude basically went into hiding. Choosing not to speak about your personal life is entirely different than lying about it and desperately trying to cover it up.

I like the teens of American Beaty as well, though Thora Birch played a much more honest and insightful version of the same character in Ghost World, one of the better movies of the last decade. I also kinda love the score of American Beauty. Had they made the movie about the teens and kept the soundtrack maybe AB

That reminds me, I need to re-rent Chinatown.

I wasn't responding to your criticism rather than the overall discussion. I probably should have responded to onaccounta instead. I did think that line was unnecessary and mean-spirited.

If you had actually seen Lewis' submission in seaon one (the finale) the baffle would fade.
