"this show's "historical sense" is all about making women suffer for the sins of their men"

I thought it was just a devastatingly impactful moment, one of the best the series has ever done.

Incestion - You know.

A better guess might be, now that he's told almost all of the story he originally intended to tell, and has to plot out an endgame scenario over the next 2-3 seasons, Vince Gilligan wants to take his time writing this season to make sure he gets it just right.

he seemed over his head from the get go. His restaurant is well received and I agree he seemed well liked, but he didn't cook well at all.

It's telling that the one chef to get a bad review from an ambassador got the boot. If it's bad enough that the best thing a professional gladhander can come up with is, "at least it was free and didn't make me sick", well.

Would you expect someone else to FOH for Team Kelly Liken?

Word. *Chauvinist 5!*

I get it. It says "but", like "butt" right?

It would be close to that, momma. Now, I'm making a big assumption that SCDP is profitable I guess, but why wouldn't they be profitable? They are a value-added service firm. They don't have to deal with inventory, r&d, spoilage, etc. the way manufacturing companies do. They sell their time and expertise. Their costs

Interesting position, Pig in Zen

incredible movie. Tim Allen was great!

The numbers/money stuff on Mad Men is always a little sloppily done. The billings are NOT 100 million, and there's no way to make the math work on Freddy Rumsen's account unless you fudge a little bit (see below for free fudge).

Duck was in the preview to remind us that Peggy has already had a go round like nobody's business before, and was therefore deceiving her fiance.

If the sixties is about, in some ways, scales falling from eyes, and society becoming more self aware, and JFK's assassination was the catalyst for that awakening, then that is what we're seeing in Don's interactions with women. Interestingly, the guys seem to be a little slower on the uptake than the gals. This is

Great call, J of B…. earlier in this episode, when Roger comes back from the Pond's lunch and says he has to lay down, Peggy remarks, "I can't believe that's his job" … to go out to lunch and get drunk. That comment holds as a stark contrast to Roger's later humiliation at the hands of Jr.

I don't think Don is hung up on his relationship with Betty physically. He's always had a hard time balancing society's definition of a successful relationship with his desires. It could be that the thrill of the hunt is gone now that he is a free man.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO US ALL!

It meant, you are here to wow us. Don't stay in your comfort zone.
