Spoiler Alert: haha, a similar thing happened to me at a theatre after 'Devil Inside'. The way that terrible movie ended and cut to black for 'dramatic affect', someone shouted out 'fucking shit' and everybody applauded. That ending, left everyone in the theatre with a sense of comradery like we'd all been through a

'Nothing like as bad as 'The Happening' at least.' Thats also my standard response when people ask me how bad my cancer-aids is

Spoiler Alert: Its not exactly a movie you need to see more than once, but its quite an interesting, creepy film, the cinematography is really good and the soundtrack is amazing.

The Simpsons ruined Citizen Kane for me

Spoiler Alert for every M. Night Shyamalan movie after The Villiage: It turns out they're all terrible movies.

For me just knowing there is a twist in a film sort of ruins it a tiny bit. Because if you know there's a great ending, you don't just simply follow the narrative and enjoy it unfold in front of you, you can't help but play the 'guess how it ends game'. For example I watched the amazing 'Usual Suspects' for the first

a cynical commercial appropriation of gangnam style. Psy must be turning in his grave (one has to assume he's been murdered by now, right?)

I completely agree that the rise in blue meth production is down to a fictional tv show. Its nothing to do withDrug Policy and prohibition causing greater harm than good as it largely exists to criminalise the sick or poor and control the underclass. And nothing to with the government only having such a militant

Yeah, you're right it was a bit of an odd conclusion. The comment about the writers treating the audience like they're half watching could more accurately be aimed at some of the broadcasters.
My unreasonable reaction comes from spending quite a lot of last year working in Dubai. There are certain cultural taboos in

I liked it too. But you mention violence. Something I really liked about this episode is that Family Guy only went after plot holes, inconsistencies and silly things about these stories; it didn't attempt to raise the point that most fairy tales have quite a dark undercurrent.

Really surprised by the poor grade for this episode, as I genuinely thought this was one of the better episodes of the season. I actually think this kind of fast-paced, multi-storied, satirical episode is something Family Guy does really well (I really liked the family guy viewer mail episodes, the Star Wars stuff and

So two really good episodes in a row. surprisingly this episode works because normally I do think comic book guy should only be sparringly deployed. So kind of frustrating, that comic book guy didnt get a line of dialogue in last weeks episode, which was about pirating movies, spoilers, obsessive comic book hero fans

so the chalkboard joke - 'Judas Priest is not death metal'….
I know the simpsons are capable of turning chalkboard jokes around quickly ('we miss you mrs k'), but do you think they made the chalkboard joke this week as a reaction to everyone who has heard of judas priest and knows what death metal is - saying judas

'25 minutes of pure racism' has been the plot synopsis on every episode of family guy for the past few seasons

Loved, loved this episode. But they didn't do a call back of when Steve said 'I hear he has two trained catepillars for a moustache' with the catepillars wriggling from his face, so that should bump it down a letter grade. No great episode, been trying to get my friends to watchh this show for ages and I'm really glad

'Judas Priest is not death metal'
'those studies were industry financed'
'clueless fanboys in costume'
'wow midnight - I won't know which date to write in my diary'
'I wrote a Lost fan fiction finalie that also answers all the questions from twin peaks'
'now remember don't be the way you normally are; and sustain that for

this is a remake of a Swedish show and Rainn will be playing an American version of Backstrom…. IDENTITY THEFT IS NOT A JOKE RAINN IT AFFECTS MILLIONS OF PEOPLE EVERY YEAR.

A bit harsh. I respect anyones opinion (perhaps too much, to the point I can enjoy a movie then read a bad review and have the nit-picking retrospectively ruin the movie for me), but I just can't see wrong when it comes to the simpsons; I don't how anyone could watch this episode and not enjoy it.

I know its a fairly universally accepted, rarely challenged truth that season 1 to 3 are the best; but to be honest season 4 is probably my favourite season and to me the its the standard the show should be trying to achieve.

does anyone know when av club are starting the season 3 reviews?
