'it came out 3 days ago so is fair game for spoilers'….. is the new av club mantra.
Has any prison bus on any movie, cartoon or any other artistic medium ever actually made it to the prison successfully?
if you didn't at least smile at the Swede guy dancing, you probably don't have a soul.
any comedy that does a crappy errectile dysfunction episode has pretty much creatively committed suicide. A few season ago if they done an episode about Peter being unable to get an errection, it would have been as a kind of meta commentary, on how overused as sitcom device it is, but now we get all the sitcom cliches…
The loss of Breaking Bad, The Office and Futurama hit me the hardest (in that order). These were literally my favorite shows. Other shows complete their cycle, end and then a new equivalent takes its place in our affections. But there is nothing like Breaking Bad or Futurama on TV, it just leaves a sad void.
Totally agree, that Batman forever got two-face wrong (or at least my interpretation of what two-face was meant to be). I was really young when I first saw Batman Forever, and my only previous exposure to two-face was from batman: the animated series, so it was weird seeing Tom Lee Jones's version of Two-face.
mmm, seeing as we are all happy admitting Genesis is an awesome, awesome band. 'Firth of Firth' is probably my second favorite and either 'Lamia' and 'carpet crawlers' take it turns being my third favorite.
I bought a wii-u just so I could play this game. So basically this is the most expensive game I ever or ever will buy and it was worth every penny. Filled with brilliant, creative and challenging ideas. I don't know anyone I wouldn't recommend this to.
Do you like 'Huey Lewis and The News'? There early work was a little to 'New Wave for my taste, but when 'Sports' came out in '83, I think they really came into their own, commercially and artistically. The whole album has a clear crisp sound and a new sheen of consulate professionalism that really gives the songs a…
Did you know that Whitney Huston's debut LP, simply called 'Whitney Huston' had 4 number 1 singles on it? Did you know that Christie? Its hard to chose a favorite amongst so many great tracks. 'The Greatest Love of All' is one of the best, most powerful songs ever written about self-preservation and dignity. Its…
It was the Pete Gabriel years, but 'Suppers Ready' is the best Genesis song ever. That is all.
Poochie California?
Thanks all for filling me in. Happy to hear its carrying on for at least a little while post Fox. It sounds like theres still some room for optimism for the future.
I sort of agree about killing off Meg,because all the Meg sucks jokes are wearing extremely thin. My guess when I heard they was going to kill someone off, they would do an episode, where Brian becomes terminally ill, thus heavily implying that Brian was going to die and then in the last minutes Brian would pull…
Sorry, if this is the wrong place to ask, but what is the story with the
future of American Dad. Is it being cancelled or is it just moving to
another channel. If it is just moving to another channel, do you think
this will affect the quality of the show at all (i.e. is it all going to
be on the same budget, with the…
If Brian is really dead,it will be interesting how this changes the dynamics of the show. Not only are the Brian-Stewie episodes the most consistent, but all of the other main characters are really shaped by their relationship with Brian. To Peter he is the best friend, to Meg and Chris he is sympathetic voice of…
I was lucky enough not to have this ruined for me. I knew at some point they were killing off a character, but no idea which character and which episode this would occur. I'm trying not to be cynical and am choosing to believe Brian has permanently met the snug embrace of the crypt (though it was weird that it was…
Yeah the way Brian got run over was maybe a little too graphical (I say this as someone who doesn't like violence but who has been a little bit desensitized after seeing the gold-standard of violent, graphical car mowings that Breaking Bad has set). I would have preferred if they just cut away to Stewie's reaction -…
So they killed off one of the best main characters and replaced him with a similar but not quite as good version of that character. This might be a good idea, it worked really when The Office did this.
