Hank is going to die, because Walt wants him to live. Walt is still protective of those who he considers family. Hank being killed will send Walt into doing something extreme. Hank ending the phone call to Marie with 'I love you' and 'I might not be home for a while' - wasn't a good sign regarding the fate of Hank.

The two shows are fictional to each other and there is the issue (for those of a pedantic persuation) of the whole yellow skin thing. But I completely with Much loved character from canada on the Simpsons it is all just inherently ok. I have to say I'm really looking forward to this happening.
