I think a lot of the dislike for her character stems from Hannigan's performance. She really sticks out like a sore thumb. Her incessant mugging and bug-eyed gurning, coupled with her hammy line delivery, makes it seem like she's on one of those godawful live-action Disney Channel shows.

Well…the flip side of this is that a lot of people now seem to equate "Wow, finally a film of hers I didn't hate" with "OH MY GOD WHAT A STUNNING PERFORMANCE".

I really, really liked that new EP. And this was my favorite track off it.
