The AV Club
I've filled out a bit in the bad ways since the Mad Men avatar craze

@avclub-5c28462f87143d362e173541944b0b74:disqus Yeah, my comment was more in response to commenters like @avclub-87e5534d9bc0a57552c66125db770c46:disqus and  @avclub-de584085097dbcc290d237ea48ccd97c:disqus!

I thought it was hugely enjoyable. Sure, take one step back and look at it critically and you'll see some pretty massive flaws. By by God, I couldn't put it down. Read it in one sitting on a 13-hour plane ride, and the hours just disappeared; I'd really recommend it to pretty much anyone on these boards.

You also forgot bitch/lover/child/mother/sinner/saint/not ashamed/your hell/your dream/nothing in between.

Yeah, I really don't get that critique at all. Halfway through the episode I said to my girlfriend "man, this episode has some gorgeous animation".

I feel like I fully understood Upstream Color the first time through

It only had like 4 shares when we saw it on the screen at the end, though. Hardly viral.

Marie should have called her "les incompetents".

Yeah, there was a pretty clear closeup of the Warg sneering at them when he saw that they survived.

Community, take note: Happy Endings can show you how to make non-cringeworthy meta references.

Why not just change the name back to "The AV Club Blog"? It seems like every single article in this column gets the response "uh, what the fuck are we supposed to consider here?"

It's definitely meant to be "Œuf" (egg), but Fuller himself pronounces it like "Zoof" in the web-episode.

We should mark these posts as SPOILERS, maybe.

Same here. It's a very creepy and visceral episode, but there's absolutely nothing in it that has any connection to the Boston bombings. Tangentially related to Newtown with "kids killing kids", maybe, but it happens in a totally different context (plus you never see the kids actually murdering anyone - you only see

There are a few things that indicate that this is the case - "Ceuf" was omitted from the list of episodes sent to critics well in advance, who received episodes 1, 2, 3, 5 and 6 - but I can hardly see why he'd be THAT displeased with it. I saw it the other day (I live in Asia) and it's a perfectly good episode of Hanni

Man, I was reading @avclub-faee0cdb03a643d235e16bd014943251:disqus's post to the tune of "We Didn't Start the Fire" and headbanging by the end of it.

Oh GAWWWD I had completely mentally blocked that we are losing New Cult Canon too.

@avclub-70bbc051341bb1f5c1fdb481a767c1cc:disqus No competition there, really:

It doesn't usually show up in the autocomplete boxes, but when you click on "images" after searching for an actress' name, the top line will almost always say "Related searches: [name of actress] feet". (At least in Firefox; doesn't seem to be the case in Chrome.)
