Albatross / dead parrot swirl!
What does a stale, unfunny sketch comedy show that should have been canceled years ago taste like?
I only read the first six novels and a couple of the short story books. I think it kind of got out of hand when they started to have books and stories about every character ever mentioned in the books and I just lost interest.
I really liked Dr. Katz, but that squiggly animation was a little headache inducing.
I never played D & D , but I read a lot of the manuals just to look at the artwork. Larry Elmore, who did the art for the Dragonlance novels, was always one of my favorites.
I thought the Twins series was better than the Chronicles series, but it's been a long time since iv'e read either and not sure I want to. I am afraid they won't hold up as well and would rather keep my fond memories of the series. I couldn't believe how bad the animated movie was…
* Casts lightning bolt on sal the boatman. *
I thought Kitiara was Tanis's ex?
" So Dave , is your mom still seeing that guy? "
" You mean my Dad, sir? "
" Yeah, him. "
I loved how Jimmy was always after Dave's Mom.
Who you calling an old !?! You lousy little punk!
* tries to get out of recliner to tear after TheGhostOfDBoonsGhost, gets winded halfway up, settles back into chair muttering *
The problem I have is that some of my older friends just cannot get their heads around the fact that cartoons are actually written for adults these days. Most of the people i'm referring to are over the age of fifty. They laugh when I explain the plot and reference the jokes on Archer, but iv'e lent my season 1 box…
That depends. If you use damp wood for the fire, the smoke will cause the victim to die of smoke inhalation, which I imagine is more pleasant than burning alive.
Amen.
The " This weeks special guest star " bit in the opening credits of Police Squad was brilliant.
It bugs the shit out of me that I can't get some people to watch Archer, and other shows of that nature just because they are animated. " I'm not watching that. Cartoons are stupid. "
I was never a huge KotH fan, but I watched it pretty regularly. It didn't always work for me, but there were some really great episodes.
I found her character to be a little tiresome, but the episode where she took the class to Mexico and ended up kidnapping the little girl was one of my favorites. It really shined the light on how shoddy her Spanish really was.
Job's utterly inept magic tricks. " But where did the lighter fluid come from? "
Does the fact that each of the Bluths does a different chicken impression, none of which actually sound like a chicken, count as a running gag? That always killed me.
The first three novels were the shit when I was just going into junior high. The second series, Legends, were also pretty damn entertaining.
