I am sorry but no. If you are dancing at all you are not goth. It looks funny because it's a glaring contradiction being physically acted out.
I heard somewhere that Frank Sinatra said Something was the all time best love song ever written. Can someone confirm/deny this? I am at work. Thanks.
Did anyone confirm whether Andrew was really rushing or dragging in Whiplash? I couldn't hear a difference.
Chicken feet: high effort for little reward.
Was gonna down vote this but how could I when I was laughing so hard?
"looking up from the book to see a man next to me on the El train pouring the soda he no longer wanted onto the floor of our car. In that moment, “What Would Dr. Ruth Do?” …"
“Wildfire” (girl goes after horse, gets lost)
Does Emerson Lake and Palmer's Lucky Man count? Because that's a cool story. And synthesizers.
Is that a Hunger reference? Because that would be cool.
"Needed to own" is a difficult concept. Who determines that? On what moral basis can we adjudicate that? A big division of opinion between Occupy people and economic right wingers is hidden on divergent presuppositions about that "need". Do I "need" to drive a Hummer? From a utilitarian point of view, no. I can get by…
Aw, man. Just when the conversation gets good…
Perhaps I took your " I could help struggling artists" at face value. At no point did they get into business with that intention. It was always about their own benefit and continues to do so. Dr Dre wasn't trying to help impoverished teens with $99 headphones. He was trying to "siphon" as much money as he could from…
Oh it did something: It made people hate DRM.
Uh, you do realize Jay Z and Kanye West *are* moguls, running their own companies and investments to make much, much more than they would being artists alone. If you honestly think their objections to "wealth siphoning" (a problematic expression) is some kind of relatable moral high ground you are kidding yourself.…
Been waiting years for that to happen.
That phrase always was the funniest part of the intro speech. "Thanks for not leaving that part out, Miss Narrator." I love it.
No. It's definitely "Brett" but it's enunciated "Breeeeeeeeett" (short e) so it sounds like a dragged out "aaa" and the "t" gets mumbled out at the end so it sounds like a "d". My friends all quote that scene as "Brad" as well because of that. haha
Looks interesting. Thanks!!
Very moody album. I highly recommend it.
