Those two are excellent showcases for her but Requiem for a Dream (gritty plot events aside) has some absolutely stunning still frame shots of Connelly's face. She is breathtaking.

We need more pictures like that of Manuela Arbelaez. Good grief.

"coax out the muscular rock sound that often startled fans seeing Lush on stage"

You reminded me of the moving carpet in Fear and Loathing. Now that was a accurate depiction.

"cliques/factions "

I had one prof who explained the difference between an F+ and an F-.

What I want to know is where all the fat people are. Not a one to be seen.

For some reason David Bowie's SNL performance of The Man Who Sold the World gets to me much more than the original. But of course the original is still a classic so it doesn't belong on this list.

I've been to "has-been" shows where I get sad watching the artists play while the crowd gets antsy for their lone hit. Glad to hear they can please the crowd throughout with good material. Will definitely check it out. Thanks.

Weird thing about Frampton's studio versions is that they *all* suck. Not the songs themselves obviously but the recordings. Must have had a really lousy engineer or something.

Do they have any other songs? I was shocked to find out exactly how long they have been touring with that song and I wonder what else goes into their shows. Honest question.

Agreed. The high vantage point crowd/battle scenes in Troy, Gladiator, LOTR all surprised me at how bored I was looking at them.

I really enjoyed her tribute to Doug. I got teary eyed over that.

0 points for not reading my caveat that I am referring to personal opinion not the law. In objective terms we can say all the testimony against him does NOT tend to make him appear innocent as even disputed evidence is worse than no evidence at all.

We members of the public can't prove his guilt any more than you can prove his innocence. (We are talking about personal opinion so don't bother with the innocent until proven guilty legal standard.) All we can say is things look awfully bad. Anything more (like your absolutist omniscient defense) is personal wish

"Taste is always hitting some kind of ideological button, even if it’s unconscious; no reaction comes straight from the gut."

So the thesis here is this: "Many will tell you that a movie can be well made and still be bad. I’m not sure that’s true; how an image is made is directly related to its subject."

I don't know if I should be impressed or disappointed that Ace Frehely openly admits stealing the chorus for Shock Me from the Who's Can't Explain.

That Country overlap has been well documented. There is a very narrow set of song elements for a certain kind of country. Not sure what to call that specific genre but it's got strict rules and nobody gets sued for writing lyrics over that standard template.

You are totally correct. The initial use of the director's sole last name just magically appears without context. Rookie journalism mistake.
