I actually got one of those white-noise sound machines because of my persistent tinnitus. It helps a lot.

Oh man, I remember the episode where a kid somehow got a toothbrush jammed into her (or was it his) throat. I was like eight years old when I saw that. For months afterward, I always brushed my teeth very, very slowly and carefully.

Oh d-d-d-dear!

This was definitely a scary show, because it was a constant reminder of how easy it is to end up at the wrong place at the wrong time; and no one will ever really know what happened to you.

Maybe it's a coincidence, but October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

Believe in yourself. You are capable of more than you think.

According to Wikipedia, Swardson claimed that the movie wasn't meant to be a comedy at all.I'd almost think that he wasn't just trying to rationalize the film's failure, but since it's not even close to being a successful anything-other-than-comedy, his statement reeks of desperate justification.

Very little that is truly worth doing is easy.

RE: The gay panic joke: They could have saved it if Craig had been completely on board with being mistaken for the Doctor's partner just to get a piece of that sweet employee discount. "Partners, yeah. So, that's like 15% off, or…?"

Amen. I know, let's get Eric Saward on the phone!

Your silliness has been noted.

I remember when the entire nation briefly went gay for Hubby Hubby. It was a heady, magical time for us all. And then it was over, and we returned to our lives, waiting for the ice cream to tell us what to do next.

Obviously this would be impossible, but it would be wholly appropriate if the person he saw behind the door was Adric. After all, the vast majority of the Doctor's companions survive; he was the one (if you don't count Sara Kingdom or Katrina as official "companions") that didn't.

While I'd love to see Meredith's take on the 3rd season and its introduction of the "let's cast someone who'll bring some chaos" reality show trope, I kind of also want to hear her take on why the 2nd season was so… not quite right. Sophomore jinx, maybe?

I'm absolutely gutted. Nick Courtney was an excellent human being. I thought the Brig got a great send-off in Battlefield, where he got his final dig in on the Doctor.

I suppose then something like the Death Wish series would be closer to the mark then, since some viewers might find vigilantism morally problematic, but still really enjoy the films even so.

The funny thing about brutal honesty is that the people who insist upon it seem to really, really enjoy the brutal part.

What a horrible night to have a curse.

Oh, I don't know… Strange Days was pretty good, too.
