I would set the "Wayback Machine" to go back in time to 1970 radio and select "Ride Captain Ride" by Blues Image. There is a short guitar break in the middle, but the whole song builds to the solo at the end. Which is glorious; excellent for air guitar. That solo always reminds me of something guitarist Mick Ralphs

As an American, I always assumed that Admiral Halsey referred to the U.S. Navy admiral who, along with Admiral Nimitz, won the war against Japan in World War 2. But other than the name the song seems to have nothing to do with that at all.

Here in the U.S. crew members from the ship are already speaking up to complain that the story in the movie is not close to what really happened. Although warned to stay at least 600 miles offshore, due to recent hijackings, Captain Phillips had the ship on a course only 235 miles from the coast. Some crew members

While living in Kansas City during the years 1980-81-82 I saw the following concerts at The Uptown Theater:
1.  Mink DeVille, and Blondie, opening for Elvis Costello and The Attractions.
2.  Rockpile, with Nick Lowe and Dave Edmunds, opening for Squeeze.
3.  The Psychedelic Furs.  This concert was sponsored by the radio

I wore the grooves down on my Argybargy album, way back in the day.  Now I have the remastered Deluxe Edition CD version with the original album plus a live concert from 1980.

When people say "see you later" I sometimes say "Thanks for the warning!!"  It works better if you are smiling when you say it.

Newhart also appeared as a U.S. infantryman in the early 1960's black and white movie "Hell is for Heroes".  In the movie a platoon takes over a German bunker and eventually realizes there is a listening device hidden inside.  Newhart is assigned to act like he is talking over a field telephone to headquarters and has

I bought the first Blue Oyster Cult album when it came out in 1972 because of the Lester Bangs review in Rolling Stone.  I loved it then and I still love it now.  I only listen to it when I know I have the time to listen to the whole thing straight through.  And when I listen to the CD I still "hear" the pause after

Even better than the original Squeezing Out Sparks is the 2 CD reissue featuring a live concert performance of the album.  The songs are slightly faster and even more Belligerent.  Also—During "Nobody Hurts You (Harder Than Yourself) he forgets a line and just sings "somethin', somethin', somethin'" and as he sings it
