he got a purty mouth.
Will, you should have asked him wtf he was doing in the beginning of Tron Legacy. That was just weird. When I saw him I got excited that he would be the villain or something but poof he was gone.
Also, too bad he didn't share a scene with Ledger in Dark Knight.
I really liked it, too. I liked how delicate the space travel seemed. How awesomely powerful the sun was depicted.
I really liked him in The Wind That Shakes the Barley, too, even though the parts of the movie beyond the brothers' relationship felt like a heavy history lesson.
“I have wandered in bitterness until all seasons have become as one. And that is a season of vengeance.”
see The Exorcist. it's incredibly profane and really well done. it's got some eon-expanding dread to it that gets overlooked. Plus, the desecration of the church is such an original idea. A lot of people don't find it all that scary. But it is creepy and super well made.
yeah, the best setting for a horror ever.
I totally agree with you. Doesn't scare me at all. It looks incredible.
I love the Cape Fear remake for so many reasons, and DeNiro's performance is amazing, but he just isn't physically imposing like Mitchum. I read that Nolte lost a lot of weight to seem smaller than DeNiro but it doesn't really work. Nolte is a big dude and he looks like he could probably hold his own against DeNiro.
yep. Lynch is great at using odd and unexpected dream elements, like a dude hiding behind your dresser, to scare the fuck out of you.
yeah, it's great. God I love that movie.
My problem with The Shining is that it's too beautiful to scare me. I'm always just blown away by how cool it looks that nothing in it scares me. Every frame is gorgeous. I actually find myself laughing at most of the scary parts.
Can't sleep, clown will eat me. Can't sleep, clown will eat me. Can't sleep, clown will eat me.
you ever hear Paul F. Thompkins' bit on the monster in the mirror? It's on his Freak Wharf CD. Hilarious.
that's the one. Even after all the incredible stuff that proceeds it, that scene scares the shit out of me. I know it's coming and it still scares me. the buildup with Kurt Russell holding off all the guys that think he's a clone with his frozen hand losing its hold on the flame thrower and Richard Masur secretly…
you two are just the nicest people on the 'net. You're giving some really shitty music a pass here.
You took the words…
they work for me. Probably a browser setting.
detail. The grand gestures leave me scratching my head.
