yeah, it's more of a tribute.

I disagree with you about oil paint. I feel I can connect more powerfully through earlier artwork. But what do you think about this:

ever seen the David Lynch segment of Lumiere?
strings and horns in the background? Did Burt Bacharach write this? Hal David writes better lyrics, though, so probably not.
it's a ripoff of Caravaggio paintings and not a very good one.
What did you think of that Klosterman article on Grantland about Loutallica suggesting that these types of idiotic collaborations (that satisfy neither bands' fans) are actually just the sort of non-commercial music everyone claims they want and that if the record industry were run tight like it used to be this shit…
Nice try, Guinness. But you're wrong, motherfucker:

Stick to making delicious beer.
so wrong you're right.
they really shouldn't. those movies made bank based on really tricky plotting that made you think.
agreed. even the best FX from Tree of Life were done in a lab using real stuff and not the CGI dinosaurs.
You are most welcome. I really think her being a big lady is part of her appeal. Unlike with sexy singers, American women can identify with big Adele. I can see smart record companies adding some sturdy singers to market to the ever-growing Lane Bryant demographic.
from the pictures I've seen, Adele does look hard to move from her spot. Ey-OH!
spearmint or fruit?
I say we let 'em go…
for me, it's not the sci-fi ending so much as what Sean perfectly calls "meaningless, garish CGI set-pieces". I mean, the first three films had religious miracles in them so I can't get pissed that this one turned out to be sci-fi, but the way the movie tossed out any sense of believable adventure for CGI insanity…
yeah, I look forward to it, too. I'm just not crazy about the song. You might like this:

John Madden:
I love to see a dirty play against a walker…BOOM! They got outta there like a 9 legged turkey.
What Shane needs to remember is that 90% of this thing is mental.
Those walkers are deader than everyone else. They're the deadest things on that field.
I think I posted my original comment too quickly. The point of the article is that these
horror directors lose their edge and that can't be explained away with
old age and the demands of directing. They are STILL directing movies
after all, so they are capable of directing an edgy one.
don't think much of the song—even though I like the Black Keys—, but that man's dance moves may heal America.
