Yeah, the second I saw the rest of the family heading over to the RV I was like "this was totally the exact same plot of a Hey Arnold! episode". But I still love the characters and there were still plenty of great lines, even if the premise was pretty corny. Definitely not a great episode, but nowhere near bad enough…
My girlfriend is constantly bringing up details about this book like it was some huge collective childhood memory of our generation, and I'm like "uuuh… yeah. Isn't that the book about the…… old guy?"
"I have a very particular set of skills. Giving. That's it. That's my skill."
@avclub-78bdfa83009fb79fce8a73303b724ee2:disqus , but even if we take your view of Kubrick's Lolita, Nabokov's reaction to the transformation of "one of the greatest artistic achievements in human history" into a crapfest was basically "eh, he tried". Meanwhile, King still apparently takes every possible opportunity…
She's a little clueless at times, but she also reacts in a totally plausible way; it's actually a pretty great performance, and a more realistic character than most horror films can boast. The part where Jack is mocking her on the stairs is legitimately tense. Also, confession time: I think Shelley Duval is kind of…
I know comparisons like this don't really make any sense, but Kubrick is a waaaaaaaaaaay better film maker than King is a novelist. He was good enough for Nabokov, and he's much more than King's goofy ghost story deserved.
And yet, he's never denied claims that he rapes and murders children.
I've basically only seen the VMA performance filtered through shopped images like these around the web, and I've only seen the wrecking ball video via a version where Nic Cage's face is superimposed over Miley's. We live in a strange time.
Overrated in the pantheon of great Russian bros. I'd rank him below Brolstoy, Brogol, and Nabrokov.
Who'd have thought he has so much in common with Morrissey?
Regular Size Rudy 4 lyfe! Can't wait for part 5!

They did a "Bob's Burgers Comedy Tour" thing a year or two ago (or maybe it was just a few shows?) and it was seriously the funniest stand-up show I've ever seen. Everyone killed it. Schaal had a lot of "well this is weird… when is this going to end… this is suddenly the funniest thing of all time" humor. She's so…
Haha yeah I remember racism! And those ugly pants everyone was wearing? Haha what were we even thinking?
DICK MOVE!!!
That "Mr. Suit" cover is awesome. Slowing it down and making the lyrics decipherable is as genius as it is unexpected.
