Siege has been fantastic so far! I think that Second Coming is started pretty promisingly too.. I doubt it'll be great, but I don't think it's going to turn out as anything to complain about

I would agree about U2, but I love All That You Can't Leave Behind (there are too many Bono-isms on it, but I think it's at least as good as Achtung Baby)
They pretty much have to continue now though, since I don't think there's any way they'll ever make an album as bad as No Line On the Horizon (there are literally…
@SarCCastro: agreed, but I really don't think that particular scene and a few others that had the audience cracking up were intended for laughs though (however over-the-top they might've been)
They actually complained about it the next morning at the panel (I heard, I'll watch it on YouTube to find out for sure)
Laughing at extreme violence
is what ruined the SXSW showing of Kick-Ass for me. I'm sure I still wouldn't have like the movie much (not a big fan of the comic), but I might not've entirely hated it if it wasn't for the audience laughing for a solid 2 minutes at a dude being microwaved alive..
Spongebob used to be great, but post-Season 3, it really started sucking a lot, I think.. it could've been the 2 year break in between the seasons, but I still enjoy the older seasons.. I think it might be improving though! I saw a recent episode written by Mr. Lawrence (one of the original writers and the voice of…
Yeah, if it's any consolation, very very few of the things on this years list correspond to me or anyone I know.. the whole thing just seems really condescending
Video Games
I hate it how the kids playing Super Mario Galaxy have never played Super Mario World or the original NES games. Also, how kids believe Sonic unquestionably does and always has sucked. (he really didn't used to!..)
agreed. Jersey Shore makes me feel old, and it's target audience, I'm pretty sure, is like 3 or 4 years older than me (23/24?)
1990! One of the higher scores so far! Yeah!
Does "Lost in the Supermarket" count? I don't think it was a single, but it's one of their most popular songs, it seems like. So great! ("Stay Free" rules too) (also, agreed on "Hateful")
"I Believe" might be my favorite song of theirs
"Tell Me Why" and "Till the Morning Comes" are fantastic songs
a few more glam ones:
Mott the Hoople- I Wish I Was Your Mother (the Mott album is pretty much just all great deep cuts..)
David Bowie- The Prettiest Star
Brian Eno- Here Come the Warm Jets
Lou Reed- New York Telephone Conversation
My overly long list of some favorites
David Bowie- Lady Stardust
The Kinks- Animal Farm
Weezer- Across the Sea
R.E.M.- Carnival of Sorts (Box Cars)
T. Rex- Monolith
Television- Days
The Zombies- Care of Cell 44
Arcade Fire- Crown of Love
I never understood why "300 MPH Torrential Downpour Blues" wasn't far more liked by the rest of the fans.. I think it's probably my favorite White Stripes song (ok, probably second behind "Dead Leaves & Dirty Ground", but still great)
"Apple Blossom" and "I'm Bound to Pack It Up" are also incredible
"I'll Follow the Sun", "Long, Long, Long", and "Yes It Is" are my favorite Beatles deep cuts (well as much of "deep cuts" as songs by the Beatles can be) and easily some of my favorite Beatles songs
Steven Wright!
I can't believe his albums haven't been mentioned yet! "I Have A Pony" and "I Still Have A Pony" are 2 of the greatest comedy records ever made!
aww man, that bit about '80s synth-pop, pie, and Thai food! pure gold I tell ya!
nope, it sounds like they aren't going to at least until after AF's next album is released (hopefully this summer)
totally!
other similarities I've gathered from their IMDB pages (I'm super bored)
-they've both had works shown on the Independent Film Channel
-both have works with heavy spiritual themes
-both have three first names in their full names (Kelly could be used as a first name)
-Richard is apparently Richard Kelly's middle…
