Podmass has been up for like two hours and I haven't had anyone tell me what We Hate Movies did last week. What's going on here?

I think he did. I remember Cake Boss and El Chupacabra being on an episode together, and I think the third guest was a character also, but I don't remember which one. It was 2-3 years ago, IIRC.

I like quite a few of the songs, but yeah, the show's pretty shitty. I really didn't know anything about it until I saw the show a couple of months before the movie came out. About 15 minutes in, my date leaned over to me and whisper-shouted "GET. JOBS." I proposed a couple of months later.

I will still, to this day, randomly shout "YOU PINEAPPLE!" at no one in particular.

"I! WANT! WANDA!"

"You can walk a mile in a man's shoes, but to get inside his head you'd have to get really small and crawl up his nose. I'm Captain Montery Jack, THANKS FOR YOUR TIME."

"Are you butt-ugly with nasty-ass taste? Do you like pancakes?"

Lennon's faux-Lorre in "Talk You!" kills me every time. "He's a juggler, Rick. He juggles tings."

Thanks to the still image, I didn't even have to watch the trailer to figure out two of the businesses receiving the Adam Sandler Movie Blatant Product Placement treatment. So… yay?

I guess what I appreciated most about "Good Eats" was Alton's unfailing dedication to knowledge: the show always took pains to explain WHY each step of the recipes was taken. Anyone can just follow a recipe. If you know the purpose of each action, and have a sense for the underlying science and chemistry, you can

I only listened to it because it's PFT, even though I did watch Saved by the Bell a lot as a teen. I sampled some other episodes of the pod and they were kind of hit-or-miss. The PFT one, however, is absolute gold. He EVISCERATES SBTB, and hearing his genuine anger about the obvious contempt that the "creative team"

I know. That's why I was hoping his primary suggestion wouldn't be something like what it ended up being.

I know it's not covered here, but Jesus was last week a complete demonstration of the highs and lows of Bill Simmons's "The B.S. Report." You went from silly NFL talk with Cousin Sal, to a nice in-depth, borderline-obsessive NBA discussion with the great Zach Lowe, and finished up with some TV talk with Andy

I agree with everything you said, about the series as a whole and the most recent episode in particular. I have nothing to add to this that is either relevant or true.

I'm not. Thanks for your concern.

Totally. Pierson was particularly awesome. Although Doug's continued insistence on pronouncing the name "Thune" as "Thyoon" rather than "Thoon" is both baffling and frustrating.

That Buddy Garrity/Fitzcarraldo bit nearly threw me into an absolute fit of hysterics.

I like Ryan's soccer articles and I read everything Greenwald writes, and while I appreciate that the two clearly have a rapport, for me their podcast too often devolves into totally unfunny quipping. YMMV though.

If nothing else, you've gotta respect the balls it takes to release a movie with a glaring and unnecessary grammatical error in its title.
