Prior to Jean's return, most show runners only stayed for 2-3 seasons. This was to inject new blood, and to free writers who would often be exhausted by constant rewrites and refinements of jokes. I love Al Jean as a writer and creator of the Critic, but I think his long tenure has really hurt the show.

I think Matt Groening's involvement with the show is negligible at best. He wrote some names on a napkin, James L. Brooks and Sam Simon did the rest.

I know. I hate Temple of Doom.

I think Daniel Tosh has made it clear that he will literally murder, like 5 people to get a Rad reboot made.

Up next, "The Jetsons meet the Flintstones!"

I'd never heard of them either, but I though the song was catchy. And I liked the Ollie North sketch at the beginning. Everything else needed a bit of editing.

There would be real stand out episodes where nearly every sketch landed (the Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin shows they rebroadcast recently on NBC for instance), and then there would be episodes with Charles Grodin or Fred Savage, where nothing was funny.

And Albert Brooks "documentaries."

It's because union rules meant they had to be written by the a-hole staff writers, rather than Muppet mainstay Jerry juhl. From everything I've read, everyone on the show acted like total dicks to the Muppets.

The headline indicating that they will show all 433 episodes is quite misleading then. That's a bit like saying you'll show a marathon of both Indiana Jones movies.

Too soon.

Plus, he's evil.

Would you like to go out sometime?

I guess you wouldn't like to swing on a star.

The Heat is on indeed!

I binge watched the whole series during the Showtime preview last weekend and quite enjoyed the series, although I thought the episodes about Vanessa's possessions tended to drag. The actor portraying Caliban was excellent, and I (SPOILER) totally called Chandler being a werewolf.

So it's more interesting than the Young Indiana Jones Chronicles.

Very funny. Trotsky.

It's a Kodiak moment.

Berenstain is the name of the authors. So far as I know, the last name of the main characters is "Bear."
