I think we can all agree we need to see more from Anna Friel. She was wonderful in Pushing Daisies.

Except he really didn't. Johnson passed all of the civil rights bills of any substance. Kennedy gave one televised speech. Frankly, the best thing JFK did for civil rights was die so Johnson could use his memory to get otherwise impossible bills through Congress.

body, yelling helplessly to the heavens. Meanwhile, Seinfeld crumbles to
dust in the background.

Its been forever, but if I recall correctly, the main problem was twofold: it was way too long, and it should never, ever have been a musical. I mean, the casting was great, the sets and art direction were amazing, the movie was just endless. Losing about half an hour would probably have helped it.
