The episode was actually more accurate to Hanukkah, since we're in the middle of it right now. The Hanukkah song was cute (being a Jew, I enjoyed it), but still, Glee took a LOT of liberties with time this episode.

Because the Middle is too real. Modern Family is filled with nice houses and expensive cars where kids can get kicked out of college and that's somehow okay.

As a guy who still takes solace in books, that hit hard. And Brick was the first character I remember on television to tell it how it is. Because it is true that books are always there for you, and the characters feel like friends. Especially for people who don't have many.

This episode was way too fragmented for me. Too much was happening, and the scenes seemed out of order as well. Like, Marly and her mom wake up on Christmas morning, yet the Puckermans are still in a restaurant?

Personally, I would have loved to see her dads participate in a Jesse Tyler Ferguson look-alike contest.

Oh man, her whole list of crazy after that just killed me. Following him to a convenience store, slipping out of her shirt, and reading a bridal magazine. I didn't think it was possible to make Penny more ridiculous, but they did it.

Yay for dramatic irony!

It's not an episode of family guy if there isn't a rape joke!

Family Guy wouldn't do it as well. And they'd manage to fit gore, death and crappy cutaways into it.

I still can't find myself caring too much about what happens at McKinley. They could make an hour long show about Rachel and Kurt at NYADA and I'd be happy. None of the new actors have made a lasting impact on me, and if there's a next season, with the original members gone, I think it'll be a bore.

I thunk the fact that Benny moved back to his hometown and just so happened to be close to one of his relatives may have been a slight nod to True Blood. Bill is Caroline Bellefleur's great-(great?) grandfather. Then again, that may have just been more established in the books, and I'm looking too much into it.
