I'm not sure if he'll be a regular, but I do think he's sticking around for a bit, at least in the foreseeable future. Which, meh. Yes, awkwardly shoe-horned is what he was. Indeed.

Bay for president please. My love for this chick knows no bounds. Of course I would have loved for Bay and Emmett to be away from the drama that they both deserve, but at Bay's core, she sticks up for the underdog. Which is why I agree she'll never chill, whomever she's with and wherever she is.

Really? How exactly has Bay been awful to all of her boyfriends? Was she awful to Ty who emotionally manipulated her multiple times and lied to her about cheating? Or Noah who made out with Daphne behind her back? Or Liam who couldn't be bothered to find out why his girlfriend was spinning out and called it simply

See, but now that’s the reason I have a more difficult time
sympathizing with Daphne because everything she does is
excused. No one is arguing Bay was in the right last week, but she wasn’t thinking clearly similarly to how Daphne wasn’t thinking clearly this week.

"Downward-Spiral Bingo."

Oh the possibilities. The Disaster Daphne and Disaster Brandon nicknames give me life.

"I'm sure Emmett is competent to take over."

I really want to be able to have this amazing, intelligent response, but the fangirl inside of me is screaming BAY AND EMMETT. I mean, really Bay and Emmett. Vanessa Marano and Sean Berdy have such chemistry that it does (to me at least) put all of Bay’s other pairings to shame, and why Tank (as sweet as he is) will

Oh, man. I hated that. As much as I like Mary Beth and would never want her to be humiliated like Bay was, there was a part of me that was bitter that Melody welcomed her with such open arms. Of course, I guess it could be argued that Travis isn't her son, but still.

Carrie, I love everything you said about the Bay/Emmett storyline. It was very important to see Emmett's point of view, since it was his that was lacking ever since the cheating occurred. And Sean Berdy is so talented that his absence is noticeable and palpable. Also, his chemistry with Vanessa Marano is just

I'm still reeling from Mariana and her friend referring to Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead as a classic/old movie. Once I've recovered, I'll try to process more thoughts about both shows (although Mariana is 15, but still.)

@avclub-0840875a9da6f24c4e0fc883b399d93a:disqus Yeah that's what I assumed, too. ABCFamily made the pilot script available for download and in it it explicitly states Bay's science class are sophomores. If we remember, Bay does the blood test, gets the results, asks John and Kathryn to go with her to a genetic

@avclub-0840875a9da6f24c4e0fc883b399d93a:disqus I know. He totally is. I'm so thankful other people see this. I don't get this whole argument I'm seeing everywhere that Ty is too mature for Bay. How? What? Where? Yes, he's been to war, but after that stunt from last week he is definitely not more emotionally mature

I'm pretty sure Emmett is 18 as is Travis. When the show started, it was established Emmett was 16. He had a birthday episode which was meant to be around springtime, so I assume he turned 17 then and that was 2012. Sticking to that timeline, Emmett should have turned 18 this year. Daphne and Bay seem to be the only

It was originally 20 hence the split of 10/10, but before the "B" part of this season aired, the network granted them another episode. And according to Katie Leclerc, next season has 22, which means by the end of season 3 this show should have 73 episodes. Crazy.

I feel as though episodes such as this one just shine a light on what works and what doesn't. The family/friendship plots will always be the heart of the show for me. The moments between John and Bay and Emmett and Toby and Daphne and Bay especially were all really fantastic. Sometimes it does feel like some plots are

"emotional range of a turnip"

What? No hashtag about chlamydia? Disappointed.

@avclub-0840875a9da6f24c4e0fc883b399d93a:disqus Hehe. You're obviously an awesome person :)

I agree they aren't saying explicitly she cheated. That was perhaps hyperbole on my part. I just don't understand his deal either and why he's so threatened by Emmett and has a lack of trust in Bay. I also agree it is immature to put her through it and expect her to wait. It's why I am hating where they are going with
