The secretive part was pretty confusing. Even if almost every interview
Jonas did for the show didn't hint at the possibility of his character being gay it was pretty damn obvious after the scene in the thrift shop that Nate was in the closet or in denial and that was in what? The 3rd or 4th episode?
Making it clear

is supposedly pretty good, despite being a show about MMA fighters co-starring Nick Jonas

He was on the show with Milo Ventimiglia and Sendhil Ramamurthy, so if this was an AVClub approved "

Is Gillian Anderson stealing David Duchovny's youth or how the hell has she managed to stop aging?

She was really bland in Glee so the casting doesn't make me look foward to this, but maybe she'll be better with better writing… although Gustin was also charismatic in Glee and he was also saddled with terrible writing, so maybe she's just not that good an actress

It's not like being better than Lana is very difficult though…

In the books he drugged Paul Krendler, scooped parts of his brain and made him and Clarice eat them

Agreed. I don't see any romantic chemistry between Barry and Caitlin (tonight I saw more between her and Cisco tbh), but Caitlin is still a more interesting character than Iris because she has more stuff going on other than being a potential love interest

I think Gotham and Metropolis are supposed to be the DCU's New York stand-ins (Metropolis being the shiny and more tourist-y part of the city and Gotham being the seedier parts)

Great episode. Purcell was hamming it up a bit too much, but Miller made the whole thing worth it.

While I'm glad to get more Victor Garber on my TV (well, computer) I kinda would've preferred it if we had gotten Jason as part of Firestorm.

Really? They seemed to get along very well in all the interviews I've read/seen (which was really the case for everyone in PD)

Yeah, when I read it I thought Holden was a whiny spoiled brat, but maybe if I had read it earlier I would've connected with him a bit more… but if I had connected with him I would've wanted someone to slap me out of it (and then maybe make an NBC show out of it)

I wouldn't say I hate either, but Jane the Virgin and Guardians of the Galaxy are the two most recent examples I can think of.
JtV isn't bad at all but I still don't see what's so great about it (I was happy Gina Rodriguez won a GG because she is awesome, not because I thought she is particularly good in the show), and

Well, anime isn't a genre, just a style of animation, so you probably are watching bad anime. That's understandable though because Japan produces a ton of anime every year, so figuring out what's good can be difficult when quite a lot of it tends to be cliche filled crap

I assumed Jane the Virgin was going to be renewed anyways thanks to the GG nominations, but I guess Gina Rodriguez's actually winning made the choice to renew the show much much easier

No because most of them are also "genre" shows, which automatically disqualifies them in the eyes of most voters for some reason

Gina Rodriguez's speech was probably the highlight of the night (and I say as someone who doesn't care that much about her show)

Maybe it's because I'm not American so I see all things dealing with race relations in America from a somewhat different pov, but I liked this episode. It wasn't perfect, but I thought it was pretty good at least as a way to finally explain why Alicia is running and why she thinks she would be a good SA

But didn't he complain mainly because he knew that Diane joining the firm meant he would have less power in the firm and not because he was worried about the firm getting too big? (honest question, it's been a while since I've seen last season finale so I don't remember that)
