I love that that guy Tom (I think he started out as a cameraman then graduated to producer) was there for the entire run.

This is correct.

I hope Fallon, Sanz, and Morgan come back to do "I Wish It Was Christmas Today" with Bruce. I realize I am the only person on the planet this site who wants to see this.

As a lifelong fan, you need to watch it. Think of it as a rite of passage. You really can't appreciate the WTF of the Itchy/Diahann Carroll bam-chicka-wow-wow segment or how incredibly boring and interminable the whole thing is until you experience it for yourself.

They probably realized they may as well include the reference, as someone in the comments would surely point out that the site had already covered the special, at length, and that this GJI blurb is totally unnecessary and only serves to pad out their Star Wars week coverage.

It was 1978. Everybody had bad hair. Except Bea Arthur.

I think if anyone wants to comment on the special they should go to the Nabin article because it doesn't have this FUCKING AWFUL FORMAT.

I quite enjoyed that.

Holy shit. He basically spent the entire day in the comments section of his own article? I don't even…I mean, dude.

There is no 2nd. Go to hell AV Club, and fire whoever's responsible for this shitshow.

What in the ever-living fuck is going on with these Star Wars articles? First I get the annoying-as-fuck progress bar at the top, then I get the comments in a fucking pop-up window like I'm looking at a Yahoo slideshow, only one hundred times WORSE. Not great, Bob!

.

He's also eating.

Some combination of Comic Book Guy, Eeyore, and Mickey Rourke in Barfly.

Yes, the AV Club writing staff are showing their age again: it's Tuff Turf, not Tough Turf.

I'll stand with you. (Though I absolutely believe Nemo is one of Pixar's greatest achievements.)

Looks like that argument doesn't hold water; I was 35 when the movie came out, I don't have kids, and I love Dory. Yes, she's a little annoying, but she's supposed to be (Marlin is clearly annoyed by her). She's quite an endearing character, in spite of her faults.

NO.

I'm not watching the commercial. I'm not reading the article. I'm not reading the comments. Because I don't want to know everything about the movie before I see the goddamn movie.

Oh yes, indeed it was. Millenium Falcon, landspeeder, 12" Luke and Leia, gigantic 1000 piece Star Wars puzzle, R2D2 model…it was one for the ages. Still got 'em, along with a ton of figures.
