Nope. Hilariously, the google link says "HBO Go. It's HBO. Anywhere." and the website itself says "To access HBO Go, you must reside within the fifty states of the United States of America."

I would be more than willing to pay to stream American shows online, but none of them have thus far made them available outside the US in this manner.

To be honest, I can't imagine that he would have been comfortable directing a PG-13 movie anyway, so I wouldn't be too downhearted about it.

I think the BFI is trying to restore them, or something. They're having a three month Hitchcock season this year where they intend to show all of his films, so I reckon his early ones must be in some sort of watchable condition.

Yeah, I think it was meant to be a parody of the sober endings that British comedy programmes sometimes have (Blackadder is by far the most famous, but I'm pretty sure there are others). That said, I still found it pretty moving.

It definitely could use 'with low self-esteem' on the end there.

It only seems oddly specific because you chose to give a very vague description of the plot. There were, what, 40 teenagers in Battle Royale? Not 24 anyway, and once you take out the number part of your plot summary you might as well be talking about The Running Man. Without the government part it's Lord of the Flies.

Comment of the week, right here.

He's clearly just covering all areas of the bovine spectrum.

I only started watching AD after seeing this, so I have no recollection of Alia Shawkat at all, which is a shame. I'll have to keep an eye out for her when this eventually migrates to TV/Netflix/etc.

Janelle Monae already announced that she was releasing two records this year, didn't she?

*NZ girl pop. It's an important difference. I'm waiting for her album to come out in the UK, too.

I saw this at the London Film Festival last year having never seen any of his other films before and really enjoyed it, but pretty much no-one else in the audience seemed to like it. It's one of those movies where I find it quite easy to understand why people don't/wouldn't like it even though I do myself.

Aubrey Plaza only has a very tiny role, though, iirc.

"He does say that he had been picking Steve Jobs' brain before his death" makes me think of Hannibal.

In all seriousness though, this is his best film.

I think I like 'Somebody that I used to know' more for introducing me to Gotye and Kimbra than for the song itself. It's an alright song, but it's far from being the best work of either artist, each of whom have become firm favourites of mine recently. Gotye's 'Like Drawing Blood' is incredibly eclectic (its closest

2 year late reply: Remeber that the AV club has picked up new staff since this list was made, and plus opinions may have changed over time. Oh, and the best of the decade list was aggregate anyway, so it's possible that he was still the only one to put it at #1 and that it scored well enough amongst the rest of the

Gotta love this short and honest IMDB review: "
This is a B-Movie about some vampires wanting to bring the "chase" college coed Alyssa Milano into their fold. Being a heterosexual male with a normal dose of hormones, I found this movie very interesting."
