You guys are all missing out on the obvious - Terry O'Quinn is shopping around a show with Ben and Locke as hitmen. Now we have Detectives Ford and Straume to be their antagonists.

Hippo, I feel the same way. I haven't played video games in nigh on two decades, but that line makes me remember how much fun wasting an entire day could be.

Pops, people have suggested the polar bears were somehow used in the study of the frozen donkey wheel, maybe being trained to push it or something. It supported mostly by that being the only cold place on the Island, and Charlotte finding the polar bear skeleton in Tunisia (I think?) where the wheel seems to drop

I think I'm ultimately ok with the on-the-nose nature of the episode just because Ben has always made his way by deceiving and half-truths. To have his redemption both on-Island and off be this straightforward affair where everything is in plain sight seems fitting.

There was a little pause after Ilana asked Ben "where will you go?" when I was certain he was going to lie somehow. The unexpected and rare honesty that came out instead was very touching.

Kate kind of fits in with Noel's bit about the women on this show getting the short end of the stick. I've hated her love-triangling self-centered character for a long time, but that's ultimately a result of what the writers chose to do with her.

I am gonna be so pissed if it turns out the Others really were the good guys all along. I loved the episode, but I hate that it made me like Team Jacob (nice to pathetic broken Ben!) more than the the Smoke Monster (manipulating pathetic broken Ben's desire for power!). I don't want to find out that Locke actually

Dunk, if the New York Times tells me anything, it's that there are a lot of upper and upper-middle class parents who flip out over what prestigious college their child will get into before the kid is even born. So that attitude is out there, though it is hard to imagine a poorer family like Alex's getting that way.

Keamy didn't exactly seem like a big enough criminal to be dealing with Sun's father.

I've complained about this already, but I agree that the practice of shuffling non-spotlight characters off to the side with no mention is hurting the episodes. What are Sawyer and Jin up to that they couldn't have been with Claire and Locke outside the temple? Why couldn't we have had at least a glimpse of Richard

I think I'll be able to accept it all if she pulls off one other badass thing this season, somehow. I'm loving season 6, but I worry that the focus is narrowing to a few main characters who have important things to do (Jack, Sawyer, Kate, Hurley) while everyone else just follows along or twiddles their thumbs. I

It didn't even occur to me that Sayid really was being mind-controlled by Locke, and I still don't think so. However, it's really, really interesting that he is so different from the dying Sayid in the premiere, as people have pointed out. Before he died, he believed he deserved to go to hell, now he says that he's

Somewhere out there is an iPhone app that locates cupcake stores and lists reviews along with the types of cupcakes they make.

I see gourmet marshmallow cubes at the store, and each time I go it seems like there's a new brand. Not even vegan marshmallows, just…fancy, upscale, decorated marshmallows.

Nice find, the (dark) cave vs. lighthouse thing didn't even occur to me, same with the location of the names. I love the idea, even though the symbolism all points to Jacob being a good guy (something which I'd prefer to still be unclear).

Not exactly a prop, but I would dearly love an alarm clock based on the clock in the Swan Hatch. The alarm would be the 4 minute alarm, and if you snooze it for too long the numbers flip to heiroglyphics. I can only hope that Lost eventually reaches Star Trek levels of popularity and merchandising and it gets made.

I really like the way crazy Claire seemed alternately placid and unhinged. Claire was always like that - easygoing and friendly, except when something upset her and she'd go off yelling at everyone and refusing to calm down. It's just now that her sanity is out the window, the fits of anger are dangerous and the

I thought the "Don't tell me!" etc. was more to show a parallel between the two characters, and suggest that Smokey may be like Locke, fighting a losing battle against fate.

Speaking of James Ford, didn't the ceiling say Sawyer? Does Jacob just prefer to use more familiar names or what?

I'd guess the little kid is related to Jacob's telling Smokey "they're coming" right before dying, since that seemed to freak Smokey out as well. So maybe there is some bigger force that is responsible for putting Jacob and Smokey in place to guard the Island. And while Jacob is OK with following orders, Smokey has
