"Record collection is almost complete" got me.

Career Opportunities
Maybe it's because I'm still pre-coffee that I see this, but Captain Starr's pirate crew looks like an alternate dimension Clash.

"This is why we draw pictures of him as a superhero!"
"…He must never know about Aqua-Ted"

I'm choosing to hope that this is actually Better Off Ted, just with a different name in order to fool the networks.

I had no idea who Richard Kelly was when I watched Southland Tales, and I somehow still enjoyed it.

Re: Wesley's dialogue, I always think that any character other than Fred would have rolled their eyes a little at his monologue of terror. Which makes me dislike Fred even more.

You should've carried a bass around to smash against the floor anytime someone asked.

"Yep. I love Wesley"
I really dislike that last scene with Wesley; his arrogant, "I am your boss, and I can fire you any time I want" attitude is pretty over-the-top, especially since Angel Investigations barely seems like a company to start with.

So I what is gun kata? I'm not sure I want to be searching for it at work.

Fell. In the hopes of getting more issues of Fell.

Even without sound, the sequence of the knives followed by the snakes has me nearly in tears. I'm a sucker for that kind of slapstick.

So at what point…
..are we going to get a 24/7 Simpsons syndication channel? I really want to see these old episodes, but not enough to actually rent the DVDs. Surely the Simpsons demographic has some appeal to advertisers to make this possible.

I'll watch the show no matter what, but a solid hour of Michael Emerson messing with Terry O'Quinn's head would be the best. I hope all of the Lost actors guest star at some point or another.

Dianna Wynne Jones
This is too far down to be read by anyone, but I need to express happiness at having Dianna Wynne Jones mentioned. Her stories were so wonderfully weird and engaging that I can't help but want to read the new ones when they're published.

Hearing classical music on the original instruments would be interesting. You could probably have a comfy life in 1815 Austria and get to see stuff like the first performance of Beethoven's Ninth Symphony.

Aww, somebody beat me to the Buddha idea. It could be pretty neat to go spend five years in ancient India, and find out what actually happened at the birth of a major religion. Plus, Sanskrit is a really cool language.

But extremely entertaining pop science writing.

I had to watch without sound, but just seeing Ben in his fussy glasses made me nostalgic.

The whole escape was totally contrived, but I was so relieved to have him escape the nursing home that I didn't mind. Plus, it makes sense as a madcap ending to the movie it's supposed to be.

I watched a lot of the youtube mini-videos when they came out, which is a hefty dose of Old Spice guy, and I'm not sick of him yet. And the original commercial is still amazing.
