Yeah, I would like to respectfully post a challenge to @avclub-2d0cca95ad6a2061d208d765e79af478:disqus 's argument. From a base-identification platform, I would personally say that it would be easier for me to relate to a person of an opposite gender/similar cultural background than to same gender/different cultural

Injokes in the first episode! Spain and Cali marked on calendar on dorm wall; woodblock in background music when discussing blocking software.

That is absolutely New Hampshire right there. Live free or die!

Per your last comment: I am non-religious, but I was raised in a liberal Congregationalist tradition, and I thank you for giving this aspect of Christianity a voice. Not to take away from anyone else's experience, but I think this approach to Christianity often gets overlooked in favor of more hardline, outspoken

Phil Collins bestows eternal life on all he lends his voice to.

Me too. Lennon's great for angry kids just starting to figure out there own place, but I think there comes a point where you get worn out on cynicism and just want some happy.

It's funny though, a lot of native Granite Staters have pretty neutral accents. In southern NH at least a lot of the dropped "r"s come from Northern Mass. Of course, once you head upstate, there's no telling what you will find.

Also, a Boston accent is really tough to do, even if you are from the area. I think people overemphasize the "r" dropping and neglect the other subtle pronouncation differences, which is why it comes out sounding so weird.

Me too. But, that's probably because most of the people around me are Christians.

I agree. Also, religion can be an enormous source of comfort and support for many people.

I know a lot of wonderful Christians
