Hate to beat this horse again, but…
Wow, Tim Burton is doing an Alice in Wonderland movie? Wow, Johnny Depp is the Mad Hatter AND Crispin Glover is in it? This should be interesting, at least, right? Wrong. The movie wasn't TERRIBLE, but it sure as hell was boring, and neither Depp nor Glover really had their

I dunno, I've heard about some pretty cool things via Sound of Young America interviews, and I think he does a pretty good job with the interviews. Jordan Jesse Go! has its moments but I dropped it eventually… Actually I think it might've been after the episode where they had Sarah Vowell from This American Life as a

That's music critics for you… That would pretty much account for that tiresome Kanye West album topping every best of 2010 list, and the fact that some people really do find his twitter feed to be fascinating.

Music and stuff
I definitely don't always agree with them, but the Sound Opinions podcast is a must for music nerds, and generally more dynamic than the snooze-fest All Songs Considered (although I do listen to that as well).

RIP Retronauts! I was bummed when it ended this year. Definitely my favorite gaming podcast, but then I'm old and I like old games. It's kind of like Retroforce Go! except the people on it aren't completely annoying, which is a plus.

Yeah, Nintendo seems to WANT you to emulate their games, between the ridiculous price points on the virtual console games (5 bucks for an NES game? Really?), and now this shitty cash-in. You'd think at least they'd throw in the original versions of the games…

Just don't imagine "State of Shock" being there instead…

Baby Be Mine
If you're gonna bust on a song from Thriller I'd go with "Baby Be Mine", which for my money is every bit as boring as "Lady in My Life" but horribly sequenced as the second song on the album. Seriously, the front end of that album is horribly sequenced; they don't even get around to "Billie Jean" until

I never tried to listen to Thriller straight through until recently and It's kind of crazy how bad the sequencing on the first half of the album is. It has a fuck-yeah opener of course, but then we get the totally forgettable "Baby Be Mine" and fucking "The Girl is Mine". They don't get to "Billie Jean" until TRACK

BLEH
Ugh, the picture accompanying this article made me shudder, and not just because it's one of the lamest band pics ever. Live was HUGE in my high school around that time.

As is the case with so many things, the fans kinda ruin it
So yeah, the writing is pretty inconsistent, occasionally witty and irreverent and occasionally just dumb. The songs are pretty great at times, kind of like the Grease soundtrack's fucked-up cousin, with the same kind of bouncy, walking basslines. "Hot

Bridezillas is OK if I'm forced to watch it, although I must say it seems like most of the women on that show are flat-out assholes 24/7, not just when they're getting married. I guess that's how you wind up being nominated to appear on it… Someone who knows you says "Say, I know someone who's probably going to be

OUTRAGE!
Sarah Palin supporters are stuffing the ballot box? It's hard to even get upset about something so petty and sad. It's kind of like someone abusing the free samples booth at the supermarket by filling your purse with pizza pockets.

"WE'LL DO IT LIVE THEN! FUCKING THING SUCKS!" Will be on his grave.

Dennis, is it true that you changed your political orientation after 9/11? Or was there a moment on the set of Bordello of Blood when Corey Feldman said something that really made you think?

She looks like a drag queen and her voice sounds like she just ate a bag of Oreos

Sorry but I dunno, pretty redundant when we already have Faust and Cat Power to not listen to.

It would help if there was greatness to be mentioned.

Not bad…
Any episode that doesn't feature Fred Armisen's Obama in the cold open is off to a good start, although in all honesty I think this might be the first since Obama was elected.

"basically repeats our joke"
Wow, so by that rationale none of the parodies done by people who brought you Epic Movie, etc., would count as fair use! Ditto most of the parodies on Family Guy and anything on Robot Chicken, If just referencing something without making any sort of observation or original joke isn't
