One of the Meat Puppets during Nirvana's unplugged set: "I've got yer Freebird for ya right here!" while flipping off the offender. Nirvana also once responded by playing a sarcastic version of "Sweet Home Alabama."

He thought Jack Nicholson looked crazy to begin with (no argument there) so his descent into madness was hardly a surprise. Also, the book is really about how alcoholism destroys family, without coming right out and saying the protagonist is an alcoholic. The movie version is just not interested in that plot point at

Whitley Streiber's "Communion" scared the crap out of me as a kid. I remember having a nightmare (the kind where you think you're awake but can't move) and seeing someone standing over me.

I couldn't get into the controls (running from ghosts, leading that stupid woman around, etc). It seemed like some of the worst bits from the other games were all just strung together in that one. I liked the concept a lot, but not the  actual execution.

Of course, they can't get it right b/c the fuckin director doesn't understand why the first two games featured male protagonists, or how PH represents a hetero males' worst fear: getting raped in the ass to death. (As the worst punishment imaginable.)

And the reason the sound design was the best part? Akira Yamaoka, the guy who did the sound for all the SH games, did the sound for the film.

Fox news pundits have, in fact, stated that torture is perfectly fine, the suspension of habeas corpus is cool, that people can be rounded up based on race and detained indefinitely… No, these guys aren't going out and doing it, only advocating it. Most neo-Nazis didn't go out and do anything besides spew a lot of

How about "Too Drunk To Fuck" by the Dead Kennedys, with a verse about someone crying "like the baby in Eraserhead" and "melting like an ice cream cone" to probably one of the funniest verses in a song ever (that isn't on a comedy album): "You give me head, it makes it worse/Take out your fuckin retainer and put it in

Saw the first one in the theater. For most of the movie, everyone jumped or held their breath in the right places, but I swear, the ending caused nearly every single person in that theater to burst out laughing. I really couldn't get into the film at all (bad acting, stupid decisions, actors doing things simply b/c

If you're going to recommend manga, why not one that is age-appropriate and perfect for girls: Chibi Maruko-Chan? It's really one of the better-written mangas, and is all about a young girl living in Japan with her family. There's also Crayon Shin-Chan, which is mostly age-appropriate, tho he does like to dance around
