And changing his children into monsters and humiliating him is a just treatment for that? Just felt really weird watching this, introducing this pathetic character and then mercilessly punishing him.

I actually found this one tremendously off-putting. Peacemaster is a struggling dad who correctly identifies a threat to the candy kingdom, then has his comrades turn on him and his children turned into monsters for trying to stop it. And then he's repeatedly humiliated in front of his family.

Stories function by change. Power balances must be upset. Characters must doubt themselves, one another, how they. Think of the world.

aaaah, beaten, damn it all

Logging in for the first time in years SOLELY to say that Atom did have a line when he got jammed in her cleavage, but the censors insisted they cut it:

This is why I watch things on the internet.

No more standalone episodes.
Even though standalone episodes are the most new-watcher-friendly, they're also by default the shittiest.

"Give my Remains to Broadway" is a favorite.

Huzzah for Achewood references.

Hey, I already mentioned the movie where Matthew Perry has his testicles surgically removed, but I figured I'd do it again here, just because of your subject line.

Remember that movie where Matthew Perry got castrated? That was some fucked up shit, wasn't it?

Sorry if we're being dicks, it's just kind of tantalizing to hear about how awesome these songs are and not be sure what, like, the sister-companion would be to figuring out the lyrics while still retaining some of their meaning. Though if you mentioned it four times and I just missed that connection then, sure, I'm

Yep. I just added that to the list. Thanks!

I assume Scott Walker Sings Jacques Brel is the accompanying album I'm looking for?

I might have to do that. I know translation's tough, but when you hear about the literary and poetic genius of the guy's work, and hear that many other translated songs essentially neuter his work, it's be nice to at least have an approximated translation of the lyrics included with his stuff. It sounds really

Out of curiosity, how is this supposed to be a gateway if there's no translation?

Damn. There goes my hopes of figuring out what the fuck he's talking about.

This is really interesting stuff that I'm going to have to check out. But first, does Infiniment have any of his songs in translation? Do they even include translation with the liner notes, or anything? Or is it up to us to figure it out?
