I thought a lot of this episode was kinda boring the bits that weren't boring were pretty stupid, including Carrie and Brody scenes which is a first. Hopefully it is just an aberration in writing quality.

He can be a snide little toad, like David Frost. One of those guys who likes to act as if he's been put down in the world and responds by putting others down in return. I don't think he is a very good performer, either.

There's still an underlying stupidity to everything that has been really thick in the show since about season 3 episode 1, but this feels like the best possible version of what Dexter has been since Doakes died/left the show, and maybe I just think the first two seasons were better cos I was younger back then.
