Watched The Flowers of War, and the AV Club review is ridiculous.  The Japanese don't come off looking good, but they shouldn't come off any other way than they do in the movie… It's about the RAPE OF NANKING.  I didn't hear any complaints about Schindler's List being propoganda, because it's about a horrible thing…

One of the things I like is that it was what it was deliberately trying to be.  It wasn't overly zany and didn't really pander as much as people say it was.  The show was pretty much the same when it started as when it ended, which is pretty ballsy considering all the shows that feel the need to re-invent themselves…
