Adam Scott circa THE VICIOUS KIND.

Adam Scott.

In Ad Thunderdome, monocled Hendrick's gin dude above would come down from on high to chainsaw Douche Castle.

Sorry, I only made it 2.5 letters into your comment.

Douche Castle ad Douche just dropped by to break the fourth wall up in this ad (directed by Joe Dante).

Beast Rabin, are you the IT guy in my office? If so: 1) Fuck you. 2) Fix my shit.

Seriously, fuck that guy and his disabling of my click around ability as he walks off to enjoy his shit beer.

Love 'em both…
The only reasonable solution is to pull a Mitchell & Webb and wrap them both into the same film: http://www.youtube.com/watc…

Are you the MS of Chud fame?

I know. Were he to read the pontificating on themes in the Wrapped up in Books comments, he'd probably pat himself on the back or wonder what the fuck we were all going on about.

"Don't do it, unless you can't stand not to do it."
Right. This impulse comes on so strong sometimes, but is easily subdued. I think the key word in the question is "young".

For whatever reason, I participated in the chat under my own name. I think seeing the staff members first and last names on there made me follow suit.

It WAS sweet, but the realization he was rich after all was such a cop-out. It seemed to negate the moral to the story.

Yeah, immediately after posting that comment I was worried it came across as too New-Agey, but I'm glad to see you got my gist.

Right. Her other films get the balance right, but Friends with Money had the most disappointingly shallow ending: Aniston grows to like the chubby shut-in, but it only becomes acceptable when she discovers: SURPRISE! He's rich!

Addoms
One element of the book I found fascinating was the mystifying of the atom and how, when shrouded in uncertainty, really speaks to a hopeful parallel of a spirit or soul.

I've often wanted a site like that as well. Sort of an IMDB for books and albums.

Book club/hash
Just wanted to take a moment to say Wrapped Up has certainly erased the connotation of mouth-breathing soccer moms spitting out dust jacket review platitudes on the weekends with "book club."

re: the telling and the listening
I (perhaps unwisely) got a hold of this book and plunged into it without knowing anything whatsoever about its plot or context and avoided even reading the jacket summary until after I was 40 or so pages in.

"Time After Time" was my least favorite song.
